Hi everyone,

I know a lot of people are posting multiple threads about not being able to exit missions and having to give up on their campaigns, go back to 1.2.xxx etc. so here's a temp fix that seems to work for me just about every single time. It may allow you to get 'back in the game' as it were.

First, go to your DCS World OpenBeta\bin directory and right click on DCS.exe, then select Properties, then click the Compatibility tab. Under Privilege Level, select "Run this program as an administrator" and click OK.

Reboot your machine and start DCS World 1.5, and when you're done with a mission, double-click "Quit Mission" rapidly. This should get you out of the aircraft and into the Debriefing screen as in a 'healthy' build of DCS World.

These two things together work well for me. Updating DirectX, system components etc. did absolutely nothing and I nearly went back to the old version just to be able to fly my pricey collection of modules! Of course I didn't, because bugs aside, 1.5 is *so* much better

Peace and happy warfare :D

I found that double-clicking "Quit Mission" rapidly works for me as well. i didn't need to do the run as admin part though.

That happens to me like 1/4 of the missions and i found a way to exit with out losing your mission stuff, i don't now if its that same problem that people are having.

So when ever my mission freezes (and i cant do any thing even resume or exit) when i try to exit the mission i just press escape again(when already in the menu) and click exit mission and it exits the mission to the debriefing screen no problem all the time.

Right on, I'll keep that in mind if I ever run into the problem again.

Actually, for an early beta, 1.5 is surprisingly stable and bug-free. It's just these two (this one and the memory leak) that are problematic, and there are ways around them for most people.

I get this crash when I play the same mission over and over again, like 3 consecutive play. Other than that it's just fine ...

That's a different bug, caused by the memory leak. As you fly missions, each flight uses up more and more RAM, and eventually the pot boils over. Check your memory usage by pressing LCtrl+Pause twice, as it approaches the amount of installed RAM, you have to quit and restart DCS World.
