Goblin Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) There I was, trying to close in on a friendly flight of L-39:s... Overshot the join, and pulled up over the other 39:er. Suddenly I got a "low alt. warning" even if I were several hundred meters up. Must have been the other L-39 that passed beneath me that triggered the radar altimeter and set off the warning..! :joystick: That's attention to detail! Has happened to me in real life as well, in a holding pattern. Another airliner 1000ft below us in the stack! :) Edited October 20, 2015 by Goblin
AnnaNass Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 So i should be happy, the planes i fly have no rdr alt mess? :D Last week i didnt see traffic passing me from right, same alt. Only after atc tells me traffic 12 o'clock half mile i saw him with very bad contrast to sun and clouds bihind him. Pay much more attention while flying with small seperation is always a good idea i think :D But it's a nice detail! Bad, i cannot use the RSBN navigation - only ADF works fine.
WildBillKelsoe Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 the question is, did the other plane get a RWR? AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Goblin Posted October 20, 2015 Author Posted October 20, 2015 the question is, did the other plane get a RWR? Or, would it get a "low alt." warning if it was inverted..? ;)
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Last night, I observex the radar altimeter doesn't work when flying inverted. :) Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
