Mike77 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) When I load up DCS World 1.5 Open Beta, the very first "splash" screen says Version 1.5.0. Is that proper for this screen, or should it show some additional digits for the exact version number? Is there another way to see the exact version I'm at? When I click on the updater icon (from the Windows Start menu), it flashes a box real fast, and then nothing else. Then I tried running it from DCS World\bin folder. Same results. I read the posts here about running the updater from the command line and I tried that. Same results. No error displayed, and it takes just a second to come back. Any help will be greatly appreciated. And I'm a total newbie, so... hopefully I haven't missed something goofy. As a side note, the sim runs great and I'm having a blast. So cool! Just can't get the updater to work... or maybe it has worked and I just can't tell . And, I know this is a beta, so I completely understand that there are rough edges and bugs. But it's totally worth it! Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Blooze Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 If you run an update from the start menu and it just flashes, it means you already have the latest version of the 1.5 beta so you are good to go until the next update arrives. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Art-J Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The slash screen might say 1.5.0, but it's the main screen, where You check the version number with additional digits (bottom right corner, below menu). Nevertheless, as Blooze wrote above, if the updater just flashed, that most likely means You have the latest version already installed. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

I've been all over that screen, it can't be there". Then I got a chance to fire it up and... there it is, right where you said it would be. I really had been looking all over and just missed it. If it was a SAM site, would've bit me I'm showing version 1.5.0.45655. Thanks again, Art. I appreciate the help. This forum sure is a fantastic resource for a beginner like me. I've only started 2 threads, but I've used the search function to find answers to a bunch of questions. Definitely the place to be Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Kroll Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I'm having the same problem. Is 1.5.0.45655 the latest patch I show? My updater just flashes and never seemed to update the last patch. I've tried command prompt and clicking the exe file. The reason it appears to have not updated is because I can't get in any multiplayer games. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks
