  1. PRO TIP! Thank you so much, makes a huge difference. That was causing me some serious grief. Another solid tip, thank you! Using both, it's so much quieter. Thanks again to both of you.
  2. I've been using the extremely cost effective X-touch Mini for X-plane 11/12 and MSFS2020. Came here looking for info on using it in DCS so I greatly appreciate those who contributed here. I'll check out Bome Midi Translator/Vjoy and hopefully there will be more activity in this area
  3. Is there a command line option for DCS_updater.exe to only check for updates and quit if there are none? Currently (for me) it will check for updates and, if there are none, it will load the Sim. Thanks in advance! And thank you VERY much for your utility! Amazing
  4. Yes, same thing for me as well.
  5. I'd like to use this method for some basic functions like F1, F2, F3 view switching (just as a starting point). The area that I'm stuck on is getting a profile to show up in DCS. I'd really appreciate some input from those that have gotten this to work. Have definitely seen the warning "this tool is not for the faint of heart" but thought I would give it a shot anyway (I have the X-Touch working with MSFS and X-plane 12, so this is my next challenge). Or, if there is another program/method that works for you, please let me know. Much thanks in advance for any help that you can send my way! midi2keystroke x-touch-mini virtual keys input for DCS (digitalcombatsimulator.com)
  6. Any pattern across users with the Windows 10 Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling setting? Located in graphics options, requires a reboot after changing the setting.
  7. Not OP, but I've had this problem with the TDC assigned to the MAV page when commanding cage/uncage. Repeatable for me.
  8. Hi Flappie, Thank you very VERY much for the help! Greatly appreciated! Updated the drivers this morning to 466.27 using DDU and all is well. I spent the better part of today flying, and was in and out of the Mission Editor a whole lot. No crashes at all... not one! I had always kept up with the latest NVIDIA Drivers... that is, until Microsoft Flight Sim came along In trying to sort out performance issues, I found that some users swore by 457.30, so I held-up at that version. This PC is really for MSFS and DCS, but I hadn't loaded up DCS in 8 or 9 months while I was heavy into the "new Sim on the block". But then, I heard the buzz about the release of 2.7, updated, and haven't played anything else since. Out of curiosity, is there any info around on interpreting the DCS log files? I'm fascinated by it, but don't know where to start. Thank you again for checking out the log files for me!! Michael
  9. Update: I'm getting consistent crashes while still in the Mission Editor. I delete: 1) C:\Users\your-name\AppData\Local\ Temp\DCS.openbeta. 2) FXO folder 3) Metashader2 folder. Then I load the sim, go in to the ME, and a few minutes later, crash. I get a pop up and send off a crash report (about a dozen sent so far). If I select a Mission and run it without going in to ME, all is good. Well, except if I crash... then the sim locks up. No graceful exit. Gotta Cntrl/Alt/Delete to get out.
  10. For me, Mission Editor for sure. I'd really appreciate it if someone can look at the Logs I attached. dcs.log-20210506-222129.zip dcs.log-20210506-220244.zip
  11. Thank you for the info in this thread! I've been trying to work out some problems and this thread is VERY helpful. Thank you again, greatly appreciated!
  12. I know this is an old thread, but I have the exact same question. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance!
  13. Yes! This helped me out a lot when was told about it (here on the forums). I wonder if this is a "little known" option that could save others a lot of aggravation if it were more widely known.

I’m not sure about this, am away from my PC so I can’t check it, but try pressing the “Enter” key on the keyboard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
