Blood-n-Guts Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 First of all a cordial greeting to all those who make up this excellent forum and congratulate the great work done by ED and all the collaborators that delight us with their great modules. Recently installed Digital Combat Simulator World and I fell in love the realism of its aircraft and immediately buy almost all modules. Right now I'm using 1.5 and DCS World glance the great change that has been made is, of course this is a beta version, but as a very significant improvement was seen. At the same time they launched the module L-39 Albatros, buy and tell them it is a great airplane. After all the praise, is my humble opinion, has been created very realistic at airports, they have improved the runways and surrounding areas and would be very suitable place ground personnel, which adds an additional attractive, It does not load the graphics that carries it, but it would be a very attractive addon. Again my congratulations to ED, for this wonderful Project... I apologize for my poor English... Greetings from Venezuela FORTIS FORTUNA ADIUVAT
Sryan Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Hey Gizo, glad to see you're enjoying the sim as much as we do I wonder if you mean visual representations of actual services, like electrical power provided or refueling taking place, or just maintenance personel running around to liven up the place? Either way, it's been discussed many times here on the forums. Maybe in certain other games and sims, the world may feel alive by having the airbase manned and animals and civilians populating the world. But the typical counterargument is that while the world may seem alive, the flying feels sterile compared to that in DCS, and seagulls along the coast don't alleviate that feeling of flying. When we have to think about what we'd like to see ED spent their devtime on, we need to think about wether we rather use our imagination to think about the 200 men crew that sustains our aircraft and mission, or imagine a good feeling for the flight. While we already have a lot of things to work with in DCS, ED has a lot of work on their hands. The MiG29 and SU33 flight models are getting touched up, the missile flight models are getting touched up. work continues on multiple players per aircraft technology, they are still working on the nevada and normandy map and are also designing new planes like the F/A-18 and other, unanounced models. I'd personally love to see the airfield livened up, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands. Check my F-15C guide

If I refer to the human staff, but not necessarily animated, static can be placed people as the soldiers put surveillance aircraft near airports. I understand the great work they have ED but if you could put them in the future would be interesting. This is a war simulator and interest is both air and land combat, rather than looking ornaments because it overloads the simulator, but you can add some of these motifs to feel something closer to reality. In the DCS have generators, fuel trucks, soldiers airport surveillance (static or moving), but no one to put on the generator, or personnel who manage the air traffic at airports, of course and as explain, static objects. :) Looking forward to the Nevada Test and Training Range Map. :thumbup:Greetings again ... shagrat Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It would be cool, if ED could open the "Infantry" animations and models to the modders. I guess there are a lot talented guys who could model ground crew and others - civilians (!) - to be added. I agree, simply some static maintenance guys in orange or blue jumpsuits could spice up things and civilians to "protect" or require identification would be outstanding. If we could get some 2-3 neutral civilian models from different cultural groups it would enable a whole new set of missions from recon to ROE based peace-keeping/COIN missions... Skitter Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) What shagrat said +1 Btw,I use firetrucks , fuel trucks when I play as ATC . Would be great if the fire truck had the sirens and the blue flashlights. I often send firetrucks when A-10s are coming for emergency landing. Also a follow me vehicle with orange flashlight would be so much fun. Also, I don't think the vehicles turn their lights on for the night ? It's also a bit stange. Edited October 30, 2015 by Skitter
