says my hardware has changed..... well ive been running the SAME DAMN hardware for 6 years..... and i haven't even unplugged a USB device for a good 2 weeks....

yet after todays patch... gotta reactivate the mig 21....

hopefully i dont run out of activation's....

find a DRM that doesnt waste my time AND money.... cuz if i run out, guess who looses 40 bucks and who gains 40 bucks..... or better yet... dont use a DRM. ya still cant play multi player on most non-DRM games.... and you dont get wallet raped...

i also find it funny you guys changed flood mode AGAIN!

first it was just a nails.

then soemone told me that was a bug, i didnt think so, so i posted on hte fourms about it.... and you bassicly said "we can program it to do whatever we want" and did...

you changed it to give a launch warning 24/7

then made fun of me for saying you changed it for balance reasons...

which must be true... because you changed it AGAIN! how can a bug be changed so much?

now that i say this, with in 2 days, it will be changed back.....coincidence? possibly the first time (thought i HIGHLY doubt it).... defiantly not the 2nd time.

Agreed. I lost yet another MIG-21 activation today, on a patch which broke more than it fixed. Not too happy as sometime next year I will likely have to re-buy my modules at the rate Starforce keeps making me reactivate. If I can no longer play the games I paid for due to patches, random bugs or because I upgrade/buy a new computer I will no longer be buying anymore products with said DRM.

My oven doesn't stop working when I buy new plates or when I use my microwave. Software is no different to me.

BTW, this thread is in the wrong section. Try the DRM area.

Simply put -- because we made an error in our copy protection system and are working to fix the issue.

The end result is that you (the user) sometimes has to re-activate when we try to apply the fix so this does not happen anymore.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

I was told that activations are added or renewed over a certain period of time. Is this true? Something like every 90 days. I could be completely wrong but have been told that several times by different people. I guess I just want to hear the real deal from the horses mouth.

If this is really the case.....you guys have nothing to apologize for as far as I am concerned.

WOW!!!! I just went into the user agreement section and read the whole document and it does not address the issue. So now I'm really curious.

Dear All,

To find a permanent fix for the erroneous request for activation (regardless of changed hardware) - we are working to implement a fix that eliminates this error.

Unfortunately, this might mean that in 1.5.1 and in one future patch, you may be prompted for one additional activation of your license key. However, do not fret.

To put it bluntly; we will replace your key at any given time should you need it.

If you are low on activations or have completely run out; please send us an e-mail to:

nicholas.dackard@gmail.com and we will work with you to replace your key.

Please try to limit yourselves and only request a change in key if you feel it absolutely necessary to help alleviate our workload.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused,

Thank you,

Nick & LS
