Dirty Rotten Flieger Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hi I have always had trouble with DCS updater timing out as it downloads and then if I quit it and try to restart DCS it only checks for updates once per day. So it would not download the update on second try.. I could get around this by running the DCS updater.exe but the updater.exe for 1.5 Beta doesn't check for updates. It just starts the older version. So In short beta1.5 checks for update once per day and then times out after 50mb and then I can't do anything about it till the next day. Making it impossible for me to play multiplayer :(

I change the date on my taskbar to the next day and then run DCS beta and it updates, DL maybe 50 to 100mb then times out and I quit and change the date again and run it again. At this rate I will take me 10 rounds of this to DL the 1000mb update.

This happened twice and then it finally stopped even trying to update.autoupdate_log.txt Disclaimer: This is my opinion. Yours and others may vary. My computer is so bad ass, it would melt your face off if you knew the specs.
