Joni Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Hi, wondering if this bug will be solved? The one that prevents the boom operator to guide the pipeline if you are host or in single player. Thanks!!! StrongHarm Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I can confirm this bug still exists. I've tried a few work-arounds, but no joy. It's very frustrating as I'd love to do some AR, but ED does have a lot of irons in the fire. In return for a great product, I can offer only my money and my patience. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

El Bastardo Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 The boom operator is just slow. If you aren't close to motionless from his point of view, he won't be able to connect the boom. Once you're connected there's a lot more room for "error".
104th_Maverick Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 This bug is still present in DCS. The best way to get around it is to refuel in multiplayer as a client, not the host! This way you will see that the boom operator moves the boom properly refuelling becomes much easier. The bug means that in Single player or as the MP host the boom operator will not move the boom side to side to connect, only back and forward, however flying as a MP client does not have the same problem. Don't have someone who can host a server for you?...Jump on the Aerobatics server and head up to their tanks for practice! Reflected Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 ;3186599'] The bug means that in Single player or as the MP host the boom operator will not move the boom side to side to connect, only back and forward, however flying as a MP client does not have the same problem. Is that so? I thought it was just an illusion. I've been trying for ages in SP, and it's way too hard. Sometimes the end of the boom would be 3 feet from the hole, and the operator would do nothing...Now this explains a lot. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
