Conroy Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Guys, seriously.....what about a DVD release for the next scenaries, Nevada included? Would be possibile have a DVD release paying some more money for the box ecc. ecc.? May be later, when Nevada will be completed. It's a nightmare in this way....... Just an idea.
Gladman Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I sympathize but I think of it like this. It took me 3 days to download 2.0 and NTTR. The A-10C and FC3 modules took about 5 minutes each if that. If I ordered a DVD it would take a week or better to get to me and would be out of date the next time I actually needed it. You can now download the torrent and keep that on DVD if you like, its what I do but again it'll be out of date the next time I need it. Its all relative but I think the downloads are still better. i9 9900K @ 5.1Ghz - ASUS Maximus Hero XI - 32GB 4266 DDR4 RAM - ASUS RTX 2080Ti - 1 TB NVME - NZXT Kraken 62 Watercooling System - Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas (Virpil Base) - MFG Crosswind Pedals - Pimax 5K+ VFA-25 Fist Of The Fleet [sigpic]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic99190_2.gif[/sigpic] Virtual Carrier Strike Group 1 | Discord

I agree. Even with my crappy connection (soon to be upgraded :D), download is way faster than getting a copy by mail.
SkateZilla Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I doubt there will be anything other than digital download. DVD production would require 5+ Discs, and production costs. by time it ships from production facility to ED to re ship, it will be outdated build and not install with the updated DCSWorld Build you are running. waste of time and money. ED once sold A-10C on DVD. By the time it was available to purchase the DVD content was already obsolete. williehayesjr Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 [NO] CD Pack Will there be a CD pack available? A lot of people have problems with the downloads.
williehayesjr Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 As an Option I am sure that many of you are computer savvy. However, there are many of us who are not (just look at the number of people, on this site, who are unable to get the program installed) and are willing to pay the extra for a hard copy. As for the time in mailing and the out datedness of the program upon receipt, let us be reminded first, there are some of us who are willing to pay extra and wait for the mailing and second, out datedness is irrelevant, i.e., the program's updater will update as soon as the program is installed and initialized. However, I will not hold my breath for a hard copy, rather, I will attempt to acquire more and better computer skills; maybe in a few months I'll be better skilled at complex installations. I love this simulation.

Having a friend near you download and burn DVDs using the ISO, and mail to you would be quicker. NTTR is 27GB though, so you'd need a 64GB USB stick as a 32 GB Stick isnt big enough after formatting 1000/1024byte definition. cichlidfan Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 There is a company selling FSX/P3d scenery which provides the option for DVD delivery. A package which requires 8 DVD's (32GB) costs an addition $16 plus shipping.
