Just enjoying the new Nevada map

I realized that the map cuts short of the Reno area, about 330 heading from Las vegas at just about an hour flight in a fast jet.

Being NON CRUENT activities, such as aerobatic teams, one of the strong points of the new DCS World, I wonder if the Reno Airport and soroundings could be modelated in the new map, even if the terrain in between Reno and Vegas is very low resolution.

This would open new horizons for sport activities in the DCS community

Thank you for considering

If the map is ever expanded to include NAS Fallon for some NSAWC action, Reno would be a logical addition.

The map does not need to be expanded for Fallon. It is well with in the existing map borders. The entire Fallon range complex is as well. I flew over them yesterday. The Detail and objects just need to be added in. I would gladly pay for a Highly Detailed Fallon as a DLC add-on to this NTTR map. -Woog

I am aware of that, but it is in a low detail area. More specifically I meant if the high detail areas are expanded. I have not flown over the Fallon area yet, but I looked at it on satellite mode with the map editor.

I think that the price we pay for Nevada map is correct, specially regarding the two campaigns offered with the pre-order, but in my opinion I don't think that adding dlc's to the maps is a good idea.. don't want to find that DCS converts to something similar to fsx and prepar3d..

Maybe they can keep the price of the maps over time and expand in the future..

My first post

I am still new to DCS but I would pay for a NAS Fallon Top Gun campaign and map update DLC. With the f-14 and f-18 modules around the corner and good carrier ops hopefully soon to follow, it would be cool to have Fallon modeled.

This. The FSX prices are either insanely high, or DCS is stupidly cheap. Either way, the DCS community in multiplayer is going to be split already with Nevada/Hormuz/Normandy (especially if they all cost the same as Nevada) and splitting it further is not a good idea if ED want multiplayer to continue to thrive. However, it has been stated that the vast majority of DCS players are offline, so maybe the multiplayer users will be left behind regarding the terrains.
