RAZBAM are making a move on the throne of community interaction, where LNS currently sit. Is there room for two? Who will sit in whose lap otherwise? Stay tuned to find out.

Razbam interaction with the community is currently unmatched and that by a mile

Yes, but we were advised that they are only installed in the centerline pylon when you are carrying GBU-12s

Why is this? I'd also like to know if you can carry GBU-12's in duel ejector racks like you can the Mk82 in this picture.

If so it means you can have 10 GBU-12s which makes me a very happy man. I think someone used the term Paveway truck or something.

Guys, Mirage 2000 C is not A-10 or F-15E :music_whistling:

Real Mirage 2000 C GBU load is this one :

To this date the maximum number of GBU-12 observed on Mirage 2000 to my knowledge is this one:

And I think I saw a picture of Razbam Mirage with 4 x GBU-12...and it's not that bad for this tiny jet !

Um... I don't care what role it normally has I want to know if it can be a GBU truck or not.

There's no reason at all that you wouldn't be able to drop GBU-12s from the same pylon as a mk.82.

It's exactly the same thing as far as the pylon is concerned

Indeed no.

The pylon needs specific point to tie special wires to deploy Paveway kit wings after launch.

So, if a GBU-12 capable pylon can drop Mk-82, a Mk-82 pylon may not necessary release GBU-12.

So the Mirage 2000 N you see with 4 GBU-12 have modified pylons.

Oh well this is new

Does the same apply to the snakeye kit?

I don't know, but I don't think so.

High drag bombs are older than GBU and part of original aircraft's inventory.

Keep in mind that GBU-XX are late addition to Mirage 2000 C RDI. And as far as I know 2015 saw first combat deployment alongside Mirage 2000D to lase target.

For those who wish more GBU-12, I think that 4 is enough. You will drop them like Mk-82, in dive. So you will have to climb back for next release. You will need fuel.

I tried buddy lasing on FSX with friends.

M2M Mirage 2000 + VRS F/A-18E.

Buddy lasing is not that easy, it needs good coordination. And with threats it's even more complicated...

Having seen slow motion footage of snakeye drops they seem to be on some kind of short timer.

The Paveway I GBU-12 has fixed wings (so maybe incompatible with the multi ejector racks, not sure if French airforce ever used them this early

While Paveway II indeed has folding wings (obviously) triggered by a cable during the release sequence

I would also add that the GBU-12 is more lenghty than a regular Mk-82.

This means specific attention to static & dynamic (separation tests) implementation.

There may be CoG considerations too, and finally system capability considerations.

So, GBUs on the rear-fuselage pylons? Either it wasn't tested, either it was and found not practical.

AFAIK, as jojo said, max 4x GBU IRL on the 2000 (not using wing pylons, need fuel).
