rami80 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) I am writing this post to sort of compile the tricks Su-27 pilots have found. Feel free to add more. - Holding the wheel brake key W disengages the G-limiter - Pressing S while going at high speeds allows you to pull a 20g+ turn - While in funnel mode a target can still be locked - If the target is 60 deg off your nose you can still shoot an r-73 and it will track if you override the launch (lalt w) -Holding the fire button while in autopilot will allow you to adjust altitude -If forward trimmed and you pull the stick back will the G-limiter disengaged the stick will not pull back completely, you need to reset trim Edited December 4, 2015 by rami80

OnlyforDCS Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Kind of miffed that they didn't fix the damage model yet, a plane doing a 20g turn should be a disintegrating metal coffin with a pancake shaped body and not a Tie Fighter. That's definitely a bug that needs to get squashed ASAP. Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Sweep Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 The wheel brake also removes stick/rudder limitations at high AOA. And yeah, this 20g+ turn crap is annoying...especially when the other guy has Archers! :D Lord of Salt
GGTharos Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 #2 and #4 are bugs. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
SinusoidDelta Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 The wheel brake trick is outrageous IMO. I hope it's fixed soon.
Sweep Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 The wheel brake trick is outrageous IMO. I hope it's fixed soon. I think the wheel brake is realistic, its the direct control mode, aka (B)S mode, that needs fixing IMHO. Quick edit: And it needs an overstress model. Lord of Salt
*Rage* Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 The wheel brake trick is outrageous IMO. I hope it's fixed soon. The real jet has an AOA override (Joystick pull through). If you pull max AOA without it in game you'll see the stick bounce. W allows full deflection. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 64th "Scorpions" Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 195.201.110.22
tovivan Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Way too many planes are missing a good stress damage model (or even one at all). :( Sadly there is a LOT more stuff and heck of a lot more important, missing in DCS than some stress damage model. Or it's bugged or not working properly. Sadly, it's the only flight simulator like this out there. :(
