What mod does everyone (or most) use for Multiplayer to simulate radios? I have FC3 and CA.

Thanks.

I highly recommand Aries radio:http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104800&

It's a TS plugin and also a dcs mod.You can only contact with the one who is on the same radio frequency.

And here is a installation tutorial made by Dojo from 476 vfg: [ame]

Crosstalk works great. Other people that you fly with do not need to have it installed so that alleviates a lot of issues. You can jump on any public server and the TS chatter simulates radio chatter to your ears. Many of the guys I've flown with use Aries in their squads.....There were frequent problems associated with Aries. It sounded great when it worked. But it could be buggy. Since I don't belong to a group/squad Crosstalk works perfectly (I use my own custom mic clicks). I do wish there was a simple, trouble free plugin that would simulate radio transmissions, channel changes, etc. In the meantime, Crosstalk works for me.

Btw, something what i never understood: is there an ingame radio function? I ask because some cockpits have buttons and switches related to said function. (Frequency, channel, volume)

Aries radio has.You can choose 3 different radios VHF AM、VHF FM、UHF.And you have to change frequency in order to communicate.

is aries free? can you use the built in mic on your webcam for those of us who dont have headsets?

Yes,it's totally free. And what you need is a device that has mic.It doesn't have to be a headset.

It's a Teamspeak plugin,so if you can use TS,you can use Aries.

Mask Mod is the simulation of voice degradation if a pilot uses an oxygen mask. The result is a voice frequency cut off of high frequencies and low frequencies. In the real world it is caused by the small amount of air inside an oxygen mask. The modification is bound to some jet aircraft in the simulation. It can be switched on and off in the Communication Quality Dialog. The dialog can be activated only if you are active in a game.
