VAF [136] Striker Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Has anyone figured out how to use ADF in the A-10C? I know it's a primitive system and really for a last resort. I would like to know how to use it though. I've studied the procedure and the setup on page 611 but can't get it to work. It should be UHF 261 and VHF 156 for Senaki unless I'm using the wrong freq. GurbY Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 And after you tuned in the frequency the needle on the HSI isn't moving? (don't know, never tried it myself; I use the TACAN. Will try tonight.)

baltic_dragon Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I am pretty sure I got it to work on UHF but not using the airfield frequency (never tried that, perhaps the UHF and FM frees for airports are for ADF, as others that AM sure does not work with normal radio) but using radio transmission from zone (set up in triggers in mission editor). I used signal on 252 UHF and had the needle in the HSI following it once the signal was strong enough. When I have time I will experiment with the airports too. GurbY Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I couldn't get it to work either. Been searching around, and found some info that stated that the manual must say "inoperable" somewhere, however, can't find that anywhere. Will search and try more!
