maverick90 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I'm not sure what's going on, but every time I attempt to take off with this plane down the runway, it will either steer right or left. I can't get it to go down the runway straight. Any ideas?
Exorcet Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Controls? When I first plugged in my Warthog stick/throttle and rudder pedals, the axis commands were a mess. Rudder would pitch the plane, etc. Double check these controls. Also try using F2 view and seeing how much your nosewheel moves to the sides. I think with the current FM it is difficult to go perfectly straight. Rudder is needed on takeoff, but it needs to be used carefully. Press as much as you need, but make sure to slowly backoff after you hit the needed amount. Holding there will make the plane veer off the runway. Boss86005 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 My F-15C reacts the same way on take off and landing, while all other DCS aircraft do not. I think it's just the way the aircraft is. Caffeine_High Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 No it is not. Look out the back to see if ruder is being engaged. Also, are you staying up both engines. Make sure both are running evenly before rolling Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk ***HEY LOOK HERE***
XeNoise Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 This might help, you should integrate it in your starting procedure. Once the engines are up you should move all axesso the game can regognize it's limits and calibrate. So throttle 100% -> 0%, rudders left to right and a 360° with the stick.
jcbak Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Also.....be sure both engines have been started. If only one engine is running it will obviously cause some yawing. You will also notice the lack of power. I know, I know......I'm the guy who walks down the street while you're trying to start your lawnmower asking you, "Is there gas in it?"
