Steel Jaw Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hi brothers, As I look to upgrade my GPU, is there any benefit to going with a 4gig video card versus a 2gig? Specifically where DCSW is concerned I mean. Because whether or not it's beneficial depends upon the game. Thanks! dburne Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Well I can say running 2.0 with most graphics maxed out pretty closely, it regularly uses around 3.3 gb of my vram. If I were getting a new graphics card today, I would definitely go for a 4gb vram card at the least. Markeebo Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I was just thinking about this last night. I've got a 4GB 980GTX and I regularly use 5.6GB. I guess when you run low, it hands it off to the mobo RAM? Thinking 6GB now.
Yurgon Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Definitely at least 4 GB by now, and more if within reach (but requirements obviously depend on resolution).
