Ultra Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 More often then not, when I land and then take off again I can't get the FC3 planes to navigate the waypoints again. After taking off, it will only let me cycle between Return and Landing navigation modes. Does anyone else experience this, and is there a simple solution?

Ultra Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 Is there any other way? If I've landed at an alternate airfield to re-arm, I would lose my position. Thanks for the help.
bolek Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I don't think so, it's a bug but AFAIK it only happens in multiplayer. Do you also see it in single player?
fitness88 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I have had that issue in v1.2, FC3, Mig-29s. By resetting [cycling through enroute, return, landing] it corrects the issue. Also you can select different airports by selecting 'landing' and cycling till you get the airport you want but once you go to enroute and cycle it will show the original waypoints when you took off.

I'll check sometime. It may just be on MP. I have had that issue in v1.2, FC3, Mig-29s. By resetting [cycling through enroute, return, landing] it corrects the issue. Mine doesn't reset after cycling.
fitness88 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Here is a scenario flying a Mig-29s: Say my mission starts from Sochi [062/242 runway] with all mission waypoints originating and ending at Sochi. Then I fly off mission and want to land at Gudauta [151/331]. I first make sure the NAV is set to 'landing' then cycle through the airfields till my HSI has 331 in the 'required heading' which is the Gudauta runway approach. Actually you just need to cycle 3 times and you will have 331 in your 'required heading' of the HSI. Now your NAV 'landing' heading will be correct for Gudauta but only so long as you stay in NAV, 'landing'. If you accidentally cycle to 'enroute' your heading will be at one of the waypoints at Sochi and so it shall stay at Sochi even if you cycle back to 'landing' you will see 062 not 331. You will not see 331 again unless you repeat the above procedure. Edited December 17, 2015 by fitness88
Ultra Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) I understand, but here's my scenario: Starting/home airfield is Sochi. I take off, follow the waypoints, do whatever, then I land at Gudauta, which is not part of the flight plan. I shut down and re-arm and such, then take off again. At this point, after I'm airborne again, I cannot enter Enroute mode at all, only Return and Landing modes. Edited December 17, 2015 by Ultra

fitness88 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Thanks, tomorrow I'll check to see if it's only a MP problem or SP as well. I don't have the issue in single player v.1.5, I'm not getting into multi player to verify.
fitness88 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Correction: I just did a test in single player and found the following. As of the recent version what is written in red below does not apply as it did in version 1.12. You can recycle back to return or landing after cycling to enroute and you will still see 331 on the HSI 'required heading'. If you accidentally cycle to 'enroute' your heading will be at one of the waypoints at Sochi and so it shall stay at Sochi even if you cycle back to 'landing' you will see 062 not 331. You will not see 331 again unless you repeat the above procedure.
winchesterdelta1 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 There is no way top fix it unless you go to spectator mode. Or you can avoid it by landing in enroute mode. It's a super annoying issue and should be fixed ASAP. This issue has been reported several times but no reply at all. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
