Since release of open beta 1.5 I have not had one single Crash. Since last patch I am barely able to play through any mission without a crash "Dcs have stopped working".

Again I crashed after 10 min, with same errors as above. What I see is that after some time there is a bigger stutter, after that the ram usage of dcs process is cut too half from little under 3GB to 1,2GB to 1.5 GB.

As you stated in Changelog you fixed a Memory leak, wich by the way I never had. As posted above until this patch I have not had one single crash.

You guys are sure you fixed? The behavior right know appears somehow like you ve "fixed" it with some quirky dirty script, wich flushes ram somehow.

As I read the last opened threads in this forum a lot of guys are getting the same crashes.

last1976, attach your whole logs folder zipped after the crash and your system specification.

Thanks

After patch still same behavior, would be nice to be told what is the problem, even would be useful to know if its on my side or on Ed side. It is pretty annoying especially considering every was fine until 1.5.2.

your logs do show errors but none of them seem to be the cause of the crash to my knowledge. Are you running high settings? if so is there any difference when reducing settings to medium?

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE @3.6GHZ, 660GTX 2GB, 8GB DDR2 is the lower end of the spec scale.

Does Windows 10 have the Resource Monitor as Windows 7 does?

If so, please open it and post up a screen shot of the Memory tab

Please no apologies. Im sure you guys deserve it. I will try to lower specs and report, but I as I am running into my crashes at an average of 70 fps this should not be the issue.

Or are you suspecting something like VRAM or RAM Issues? If wich settings you would to reduce ?

..... since the last post I ve had no crash anymore.

To the guys with similar problems.

What I ve done is following, I thought ok I will tweak my settings as suggested but before I ll do a repair. I ve not used that before because I never have to. It seemed it did not have to replace any game data, but it stated something like "installing runtimes". So I planned to take one turn before beginning to tweak my settings and since at least two hours of flying not 1 single crash.

@BigNewy sry for not trying this at first time in future I will. But its still weird because I ve changed nothing before patching up to 1.5.2.

I hope it was now random success, if I get crash again i will report.

Hello I have the same thing, 1.5.2 is not yet stable: :book:

juste made a repair. while browsing the log file I can see several errors of folders that can not be mounted...

00000.724 ERROR VFS: Can't mount './CoreMods/WWII Units/Liveries' to '/textures//liveries/'.

00000.734 ERROR VFS: Can't mount './CoreMods/aircraft/Hawk/Textures/Avionics' to '/textures/'.

[why does this happen, I do not have Hawk installed]

00000.786 ERROR VFS: Can't mount './Mods/aircraft/M-2000C/Textures/Weapons' to '/textures/'.

00017.799 ERROR VFS: Can't mount './Bazar/World/textures/L-39_C' to '/textures/'.

Thanks for taking the time :) was hoping it would have been just from an idle desktop, no DCS running, just what the system itself is using as this gives a better insight into just how much RAM is available...

but glad you're up and running

cheers...

could be a thought to consider reverting some of your programs listed to Manual, instead of Automatic (services.msc) ... Abobe/ Dropbox/ etc.

This will free up more RAM for your system and DCS, considering being 8 Gb minus a bit.

for example (give me a moment)

see below - different MB, 16Gb RAM and items not necessary to run at Startup but can be called on when needed (still got to figure out Office 365, but it pretty much sux)

Generally, what I'm offering, is to considering dropping in more RAM and to switching to manual what isn't necessary to have run "Automatically" at System Startup
