chris2802 Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Quite often when flying in single player my wingman asks for permission to attack things. How do i tell him yes? I can't find it in the messages list. Cheers Chris
VMFA117_Poko Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 It's just a message that he's got tally-hoo enemies. Just send "attack bandits" order.
dynamocl Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 It has been a long time since I played offline, but what I used to do was what Poko said. If the AI said, permission to engage xxx type. I would just go through and give the "attack xxx type" command. So instead of saying, "yeah, go ahead", you give the full attack command. Hopefully some of the all knowing guys will give you a better answer.
Colt40Five Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 What I want to know is why my F-15 wingies are always asking my permission to engage ground spikes... :pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
britgliderpilot Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Cuz they're ground attack hooers at heart. Weeeeell, that's one way of interpreting it. The other is that they're frustrated that they can't blow up air targets, and as a result are looking for ground targets to strafe ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
zaelu Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 What I like most is when you see the AI going into hot zone and you issue "rejoin formation" order and he says... "Yea shure..." and seconds after.. "OMG... mammyyyy!... I'm ejecting!" :megalol: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
chris2802 Posted July 13, 2006 Author Posted July 13, 2006 Lol. True. I suppose theres not much point sending him off alone anyway really. I'd only be sending him to certain death! Chris
Jay Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Maybe it's somewhat related to the editor settings - I mean when you build a mission and don't mark any specific target to destroy (e.g. air units during CAP mission), maybe your wingman will respond less "proactive" than if the targeting point is accurately set (e.g. specific ground unit). But it's only my guess and I can be wrong - I didn't test this scenario in the editor.
