So its just a case of me buying it, sending him the serial number and he can download and activate it?

From what I can tell, he key just has to not be bound to your account, and therefore deactivated for you to transfer the license for another account to bind it. I'm sure there's someone who has actually done that process on here who could confirm/deny that for me, I'm pretty new here.

Unless you download and install the module it is only listed in your account and not bound to it (Even then you can unbind it)

Sending a serial number won't work. Your friend has to create an account and then you can transfer the license of the specific module to his account name.

All this is done via your personal settings on the DCS homepage after logging in.

Yes.

What I know is that your friend has to have a account on digitalcombatsimulator.com. Because you will bind the module via using "login name" of your friend.

Buy the module. Login your Profile in digitalcombatsimulator.com. Even if site binds it on you, you can unbind or directly bind it on your friend.

Easiest way is to login via THEIR login and purchase whatever module using your debit / credit card, certainly that's the way I tend to purchase modules for friends, however if you purchase it via your own account, you can go to the front page, profile, serial check, enter serial number of module you bought for him, click check, then on the next page that comes up with that modules details, you will see a bind to account "enter your friends account name here". It will then ask you if you are sure, click yes.

I only did it the other day when my brother purchased me the Enemy within campaign for Christmas on his account, so had to go in and bind it to my account.

It says it worked, but won't know till after Xmas when I get back home.

Hope that helps.

VERY EASY ( did it two times )

You buy it as you do each time for yourself

don't install it

go to you Dcs Account " Profile "

enter the serial of the module you want to give in the search field " License Check"

here you will then have the option to bound it to an other DCS account by the login of the friend.

/!\ you will need the correct Login of your friend : the login from the DCS web site ( the one where HE buy module.

If he have not yet, must create his own account first before binding the Gift.
