how to find SB3 tanker?

Recommended Posts

Because the M-2000 uses a drogue aerial refueling system, we have to use the S-3B tanker instead of the KC-135 tanker, right?

If so, I have a question: how do I find the S-3B tanker for a rejoin. I mean the KC-135 allows you to set a TACAN frequency in the mission editor, but there is no such option for the S-3B, right?

or use your radar.

or the F10 map.

In real life, there is no F10 map. The radar hasn't the range of the TACAN and is very limited in the azimuth.

Hi guys, thanks for the answers. Actually I meant an in sim method close to real life. So, F10 is not an option. Ask overlord is fine, but he answers in bull's offset coordinates, and they are not very useful in a Mirage, right? (no offset cdu page to convert it into real coordinates as in the A-10C...)

AWACS usually gives you BRA for stuff like that.

Can you refuel A/A in the M2000C yet?

Not yet, fuel transfer doesn't work, but you can fly to the tanker and practice connecting with the fuel hose.

Hey Smudge, make sure you have the aux radio select option bound to your hotas as well as the normal radio. You need to switch to UHF by pressing the AUX Radio Select key before opening the comm menu and contacting the tanker. Also, make sure the tanker is on a frequency that is available as a preset on the UHF radio.

Cheers
