The Enemy Within screenshot thread

Recommended Posts

Feel free to share your screenshots of the campaign here. :)

Just one thing, if they give something away (briefings, target locations, messages), put them in

tags and maybe just write which mission they refer to, so that new players won't get too much advance information.

I guess these are very much spoiler free. A warm "Welcome to Georgia" (Mission 1) ;)

Y_TEW_01_02.jpg

Passing Senaki on the way north, I think in a mission called "Hammerfall Patrol".

Hammerfall 3

The infamous "Operation Hammerfall 3", mostly spoiler-free. ;)

Sun coming up in the east while we climb away from our base at Kobuleti.

Y_TEW_07_01.jpg

Still climbing, now on a north-eastern course towards the target area.

Y_TEW_07_02.jpg

The next two contain mild spoilers.

JDAM drop from above the clouds. I guess the markpoint was pretty spot-on. Sorry to ruin your day, guys. :D

Y_TEW_07_03.jpg

JTAC Warrior has a great view of the camp. Anvil convoy is mopping up inside the camp.

Y_TEW_07_04.jpg

On the way back, a good bit lighter now. Wingmen getting back in formation.

Y_TEW_07_05.jpg

Another job well done. Time for a well deserved beer (after all, it's now 8 am or so :D)

(I recently got myself a Let's Encrypt certificate for my server and have now linked all screenshots over HTTPS. Please let me know if there are any problems viewing them!)

Some screens from a mission called "Birds of Prey".

Overlord taking off while my flight is starting up.

Screen_160115_01.jpg

Some allied F-16s taxi to the dearming bays after an early morning sortie, with my flight taxiing to the runway right behind them.

Screen_160115_02.jpg

All the action hidden inside a SPOILER:

Schaefer in TGP

Screen_160115_03.jpg

Dammit, that's close. Need to kill that MBT!

Screen_160115_04.jpg

Pontiac flight has expanded a lot of rockets (as in: all of them :D)

Screen_160115_05.jpg

After we get the all clear, climb out from the AO. Close to Winchester myself (but still 870 rounds in the gun, and 2 Mk-5 rockets). :)

Screen_160115_06.jpg

CSAR chopper outbound with Schaefer on board.

Screen_160115_07.jpg

Yup, mission success. :smartass:

And a mission called "Scramble". For more or less obvious reasons, most of it wrapped in spoiler-tags. :smartass:

Shutting down. I guess it's no surprise there may be resistance... :D

Great screenshots, firewings!

Because of a request from another thread, I flew "The Falcons and the Hogs" once more and this time took some nice pictures. ;)

Approaching the training targets.

Screen_160115_18.jpg

Marking them with Willy Pete (Mk-156 rocket).

Screen_160115_19.jpg

Colt 1-1, an F-16, fires a Maverick (and another one in the same pass).

Screen_160115_20.jpg

While the first one hits, the second is inbound. Glad my mark isn't too far off.

Screen_160115_21.jpg

Just a moment later, Colt 1-2 makes history of the remaining training target. Now that they're all lit up, they're much easier to spot in the TGP. :)

Screen_160115_22.jpg

But then...

... a huge explosion shatters the city of Kutaisi.

Screen_160115_23.jpg

The bad guys have another attack planned for the coastal town of Poti - but not if I can help it!

Screen_160115_24.jpg

I want Colt flight to destroy the target right near that forest, to the top left of his canopy in this screenshot.

Screen_160115_25.jpg

A nice, long stretch of road with absolutely no innocents nearby...

Screen_160115_26.jpg

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Give'em hell!

Screen_160115_27.jpg

I'm sure this part of the road will need some fixing. But that's about the extent of this attack. ;)

Screen_160115_28.jpg

Couldn't have asked Colt for a better spot to hit the truck!

"Prisoners" (aka "One for all, all for one")

Anti Air unit in sight.

(If you look closely... my countermeasures aren't armed yet. Lucky no one took a shot at me :music_whistling:)

Screen_160117_01.jpg

Roadblock goes next

Screen_160117_02.jpg

Anvil has arrived and destroys remaining enemy resistance outside the house

Screen_160117_03.jpg

Rescue chopper Uzi has everyone on board and heads back to safety

Screen_160117_04.jpg

After I get cleared to RTB, I climb above the clouds and enjoy the stars

Screen_160117_05.jpg

And back down into the soup for final approach to Kobuleti :)

Minebusters as well ;)

Just installed Bartheks awesome texture mod, man this looks great!

Headed south-east.

Screen_160119_01.jpg

I got a little too adventurous and ignored the hard-deck. Got SADL, CICU and CDU shot up. Took me ages to kill those trucks while my wingman took out the enemy tanks. Finally back to the primary objective - the TGP is still operational and so the GBU-31 is going exactly where it's supposed to. ;)

Screen_160119_02.jpg

Ka-boom!

Screen_160119_03.jpg

Headed... roughly back home. Nav is more or less gone, no TACAN signal yet, can't see the Black Sea... but I think I'm more or less on the right track.

Screen_160119_04.jpg

Finally, TACAN active, only 40 miles to go. I'd started to worry slightly about the fuel.

Screen_160119_05.jpg

Well, that explains a few things. Okay, next time stick to the hard deck. :D

Screen_160119_06.jpg

(Actually I got really lucky there - according to the debriefing those were 30mm rounds :music_whistling:)

The Odessa File

The target is a leisure boat. And just as we come in range, a group of MiG-29 pops up at our 12...

Screen_160122_01.jpg

Target destroyed, let's get the hell back.

Screen_160122_02.jpg

Our Israeli friends launch a CAP.

Screen_160122_03.jpg

CAP at 1 o'clock and closing, MiGs still far away... looks like we should be safe.

Screen_160122_04.jpg

Meanwhile another striker gets hit, probably from an Igla or Stinger.

Screen_160122_05.jpg

A scout is airborne within minutes.

Screen_160122_06.jpg

CSAR chopper takes a little longer.

Screen_160122_07.jpg

Colt 1-1 remains on station to check on his downed wingman. Looks like I'll be up for Sandy duties real soon.

Leave no man behind

After the last mission, we're refueled, rearmed, and heading right for Colt 1-2's last known location.

Screen_160123_01.jpg

The mosque near the crash site is defended by Zu-23s. My wingman is tasked with taking them out. By which I meant "without having them empty all their ammo into your jet"...

Screen_160123_02.jpg

At least he got out. Actually, he's within a few hundred meters from Colt 1-2, so let's pretend they're getting rescued together... :music_whistling:

Screen_160123_03.jpg

Meanwhile, Springfield (OH-58 recon) decides to test the air defenses as well. :wallbash:

Screen_160123_04.jpg

"Oh, look how close that was!"

Yes, the AI isn't that bright, thanks for pointing it out, moron. :D

Screen_160123_05.jpg

One gunner soon to be gone.

Screen_160123_06.jpg

After the AO is cleared, Pontiac comes in and saves everyone's day.

Screen_160123_07.jpg

Heading away from the mosque, with Colt 1-2 and Dodge 1-2 safely on board. ;)

Screen_160123_08.jpg

Seen a lot of action down there in the past couple of days...

Screen_160123_09.jpg

Time to grab a cold beer. I think I deserve it. ;)

Some screens from Operation Hammerfall 3

After take off, beautiful sunrise juste before climbing above the clouds

attachment.php?attachmentid=133670&stc=1&d=1453848785

No spoiler but as you can see, it's pretty rough down there

attachment.php?attachmentid=133671&stc=1&d=1453848785

I think I can manage to land this bird...

attachment.php?attachmentid=133672&stc=1&d=1453848785

Ok, I was too short to have the debrief so a repair and I can have my successful mission :)

attachment.php?attachmentid=133673&stc=1&d=1453848785

That was fun even if I lost my CM and left MCDU at my first attack :)
