VMFA117_Poko Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 What is the Mutha that can be seen in many Fighter Fling movies? Is this some kind of trophy for graduated on 1st place in TOPGUN school?
pschelchshorn Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 the "Got Mutha" is a maskot. Its got nothing to do with TOPGUN. Flip "Imagine the reason that people hold on to hatred so stubbornly is because if the hate is removed, the pain will set in. Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
Cobra360 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 It's the maskot of the former Pacific Fleet based F-14 squadrons. IIRC.
VMFA117_Poko Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 I Get it but can't read what is this exacly -a bear, monkey, koala or a cat? If this is a maskot of a former Pacific Fleet F-14's squadrons, so do Atlantic Fleet squadrons have its equivalent?
ARM505 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 I would imagine alcohol was involved at some stage in the mascot selection process....I just can't see it happening any other way :)
Force_Feedback Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Dudes, you need to appoint me as the grand conaissieur of mascots, so I can pick one out for you, I'm usually intoxicated with both alcohol and hemp. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
BladeLWS Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 http://whileyouweredeployed.com/squadron_histories_the_mutha.php
Cobra360 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 I always wondered if the Hornet squads will keep Mutha alive, looks like they will. Why is it now called P-Mutha?
VMFA117_Poko Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 Dudes, you need to appoint me as the grand conaissieur of mascots, so I can pick one out for you, I'm usually intoxicated with both alcohol and hemp. :) Me too. Right now I've got rendez-vous with my old friend - white widow. So forgive me this stupid thread. I was always interested what the hell is Mutha. Thank You for explaining BladeLWS.
