TM Warthog right throttle dead
BladeLWS replied to Galwran's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Had the same problem as yours, right throttle started to get flakey and then failed all together. No issues found after tearing it apart, can only assume the magnet failed or something. I have noticed the the overall quality of the wiring inside both the throttle and the stick have room for improvement in areas. So far I've gotten one new throttle set off ebay, and repaired two broken wires, both in the stick. -
Is there any way to go on after touching the grass?

If you get stuck in the mud then you're stuck in the mud, depending on the aircraft some are towed out or lifted out by crane. -

Same issue here, cannot click any buttons or switches in the pit with this problem. -
I cannot alt-tab from the sim and return successfully. Once alt tabbed I either remain on the desktop or go to a black screen, DCS has to be ctrl alt deled...

Same issue here.

f22 Raptor- Hypoxia raptor cough- 60 minutes
BladeLWS replied to MadMonkey's topic in Military and Aviation
I just can't see why the problem has yet to be identified. The USAF needs to take a plane that has had the problem out of service, tear it apart, and test each and every component from the engines to the o-rings at different altitude pressures. There is no reason why this is taking YEARS to fix. Either that or Lockheed needs to engineer and replace the system with one from a F-15 or F-16, atleast those work! -
Do I need TrackIR to enjoy/play this game?
BladeLWS replied to jreynol2's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
For the full effect, definitely. -
A B-1B... yes please! BTW that's a classic print right there, Pre-Start Treaty, you can see external ALCM's on the belly, rock on!

I found that if you don't keep some back pressure on the stick during take off the tire likes to bounce on the runway and break stuff. Once I get above 60 knots I start pulling back and hold it till rotation.

I would also think it's easier to see HE impacts then AP on stuff, especially from range/at night.

Indeed, had the same thing at the Andrews AFB Open House, couple of snipers on the hangars there to.

BladeLWS replied to Boulund's topic in Military and Aviation
There's alternate gear extension and you can also unlock the gear and allow a gravity drop. There must of been a pretty serious problem if you can't bring the gear down, but they did have flaps and spoilers so some part of the hydraulics was working. -
Would be nice if it did record a gun cam when you hit the first trigger, we could post our gun cams and score each other.

TM HOTAS WH slew hat not working.
BladeLWS replied to 98abaile's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I had a problem with hats also, I took my stick apart and a wire had ended up under the spring, causing issues. If you open it up just BE CAREFUL and not pull on the wires as some are not soldered to well, just free them from the spring and you're good to go. -
Hat switch problem on Warthog?
BladeLWS replied to BladeLWS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Success! Even though I am not the worlds greatest solderer (OK I probably am the worst...) The stick works prefectly now! It would behoove Thrustmaster to think ahead next time on placing those wires so close to the springs. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us -
Hat switch problem on Warthog?
BladeLWS replied to BladeLWS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well quick update. I went ahead and took the stick covers off and there was a wire under the spring for that hat, which would probably explain why the buttons were acting up from poor contacts.. When I removed it the wire came off the solder (not a very good solder job on that one, and I see a few others that are suspect). Going to attempt a quick solder job. -
Has any had any issues with the Hat 3 on the Warthog Stick (lower right one). In the past couple of days the positions to activate the switch have changed (to press up I have to press to the top left). Now left and up have merged into one and bottom and right have merged also. Up and left I have to press pretty hard to activate. Does anyone know if that Hat cover can be removed so I can see if its a hardware problem or just some dirt in there? Thanks

Whatever that helo was they made damn sure to destroy and smash everything they could find, but forgot the tail! Note the lack of markings, rivets, inspection hatches etc. Smaller tail rotor with more blades, forward swept tail plane, rotor head cover, definitely has stealthy characteristics. Probably took some of the funding/development from the Comanche. You think maybe two of these stealth helos came in first and dropped off the assault team, then the Chinooks came in and dropped off the perimeter guards/CIA intel guys? Would make sense since those CH47s would of been heard coming from a good ways off. Now someone needs to put out a freedom of information act request and see what we get out of it.

Well if he's not dead he's being very quiet about the whole thing... Oh and BZ to the SEALS, good hunting gentlemen.

I'll always carry two sidewinders, just in case I run into a slow mover or helo. Now if MiG's are heading my way its time to turn tail and hit full mil! Has anyone downed a helo with a LGB yet? ;)

You have to pay tax in a state in which they have an office or location, apparently Texas is one of those places. -
It could be a bug or it may be the pressure demand on the pump. The left system controls left rudder, left elevator, left and right ailerons, flaps, landing gear, wheel brakes, and nose wheel steering.

Once I'm done training I'm going to have to find some AAA to fool around with ;)

Any chance that you could point out this checklist? I can't find it in the forum here.
