Mirage Cockpit mods?

Okay. I've got a test version 0.1 I can share.

 

Known issues (and I think they're core issues, not issues with this re-texture):

 

Some panels don't light up: TACAN, Fuel pumps, countermeasures, clock

ILS frequency dials don't light up

You can download it at that link above (46MB) and it installs with JSGME. Note that it currently overwrites the primary textures, so do NOT blindly install it over your base install without a backup.

 

I know that the HUD panel symbology is off a bit, and I'll take any other feedback.

 

Note that this is only temporary until RAZBAM releases their english cockpit, at which time I'll remove mine.

- what means EDS (on the hook light, replacing CROSS)?

- FIRE EXT = nope, this is the SHUT OFF fuel valve (and yeah, I'm aware how it's called in French)

- a bit weird to have mix french/english for the lights under the RWR; V is stand by, D2M is MLWS, LL is decoys dispensers.

- CAN ROQ S530 button on the PPA could be translated into GUN RKT S530.

- radar "ON" position is misleading I feel; STDBY would be more exact IMO.

- HNAV should not exist on the AP control panel (not available in the 2000C = the button has no markings).

Most of my work was based on the haf M2000 pictures posted by jaguara5. Is that from a different mirage? My impression was it was still a mirage 2000-C, just a slightly different version for a customer using an english cockpit.

the "ON" for radar came from this post. It makes sense to be on, but not transmitting, as TX is the next position.

The FIRE EXT is definitely wrong, I'll fix that. Should be "LP MAIN COCK" as per this photo:

For under the RWR, I only translated the ones I knew what they were. Thanks for the info. I may or may not touch it.

 

I agree on the ROQ->RKT translation, will fix that in my next version.

OK, strange translation (ON for SIL) but OK, realistic. :)

This is indeed not a C version, look at the throttle.

 

HNAV => specific to greek version? Not used in DCS anyway.

 

EDS correct, no pb. I was just wondering what it stood for.

English under the RWR display: "S ECM RW MWS DY"

English on the CM control panel: "ECM RWR MWS DECOY"

Fuel cutoff switch on pump panel now reads "LP MAIN COCK" instead of "FIRE EXT"

Stores panel now reads "GUN RKT. / S 530" (English) instead of "CAN. ROQ. / S 530" (French)

HNAV label removed from the autopilot panel per feedback above

This is Mirage 2000-5Mk2 radar panel...

 

Mirage 2000EG got upgrade, they have the same PCN as 2000-5Mk2, I suspect they changed INS as well and upgraded auto pilot.

 

Surely useful for Exocet missions...

 

H.NAV is to follow automatically flight plan.

Available on all Mirage 2000-5 derivatives, and NAV.H on Mirage 2000D/N

to allow modified cockpit texture files, it would be better to use M2000C.zip (all dds in the root, not under M2000C folder in the zip) under texture folder instead of M2000C folder

Doesn't that require the M-2000C to be a "base" object though?

 

Edit: RAZBAM hasn't created the initial .zip file for their core textures, so I am not sure where it would go or how I would reference it. I think it'd also force me to redistribute all of their texture files, no?

it's just different storage ways. If using zip not folder, then beside the zip, a folder with same name can override the texture in the zip.

 

This is the way to add modified texture without worrying about DCS repair/update issue in prev days
