I watched the first one - you've stalled the plane in ~85 degrees climb on full AB. By doing that you've disrupted airflow to the engine and experienced compressor stall. Some airplanes can do that and sustain airflow to the engine, MiG-21 can't.

Firstly thanks for watching.

Yes I did a very high degree climb.

But the engine stall does happen even in a normal climb, but I am still learning the bird :).

Can you check the second one ?

Best advice is to take it one step at a time, and begin with smoother take-offs, then gradually push the envelope until you encounter the stall issue, and then don't go quite that far so you end up with high performance departures and a working engine.

No luck with second track (Mirage error message as well). It would be easier if You recorded something in offline mode, so that anyone can watch it.

I was supposed to post a track file but I didn't get the time to do it. Will try to make one today.

I made a track but nothing happened during the flight the engine worked fine no issues. But I can't find the track file anywhere.

I did get engine shutdown on MP in a level flight with AB though was only a couple of hundred feel of the ground but i restarted the engine.

BTW I loose fps in this Mig21 , I am not expecting anything great because I am on a laptop but compared to the F15 I tend to loose around 7-9 fps . Is it because of the textures ?

1-I belive only MP tracks are saved automaticaly SP you have to save yourself.

2-Be sure not to exceed operating limitation of the engine or fuel system.

3-Yes while the MiG-21 is beautiful it is also very power hungry.

I have no idea actually how to save a SP track. will check though

I am trying to reproduce the failure I had but no such luck.

Going to try it again later.

Don't want to open a new thread.

Should I follow Chucks guide or the one that is with the module ? I am also through with the instruments , not that I remember all of them but the important ones I do.

BTW this girl is great on trim.

noticing a right roll tendency and check my control deflections they are all centered no issues.

managing the engine much better now , haven't had any blow outs, I keep her cruised @600 km/h with around 80% RPM, my take off is great and also my landings except when I touch down she goes crazy :)

bit difficult to read the Altitude gauge. Also the VSI pitch up / down needle seems to be confusing as I can tell when to level off as I need 10% of that VVI

Can you be more specific? Both instruments seem pretty straightforward to me. :)

The short needle on the altimeter points to the inner scale, each mark means 1km altitude. The big needle points to the outer scale, each mark represents 10 meters, numbers show hundred meters (1=100m, 2=200m etc.)

Picture below shows 6950m.

MKZfiIM.png

Each mark on the VVI represents 1 m/s.

There's also a bank indicator (0-45 degrees each direction) and slip indicator (the ball).

THis one is not for the engine.

ATC told me to climb to FL300 so I had a good clean climb to FL200 at around 200kts but suddenly nose started dropping back had no ailerons luckily I realized about the SAU mode and clicked and got the stick back.

Great fun.

Just so you know, ATC never tells you to fly at FL300. When they say "Cleared for takeoff, climb 300, QFE ____." That 300 is 300 meters or a sort of pattern height or initial altitude clearance. Realistically you'd be given more clearances after takeoff for higher altitudes or simply resume own navigation.

300 meters.

I am doing very well on this bird and able to handle her very well with good power management but its still the level out which I can't seem to catch but I will get it right. Landing has been quite well and it feels great.

I am using Altec Lansing USB speakers because I blew my 2.1 Altec Lansings but since a couple of days I started using headphones as I need to use headtracking so my 3 clip is connected on the headphones and I was like wow the sound of the 21 engine and the sound environment is 1st class.

Did something change ? I am not able to rotate her below 400 km/h since yesterday and there is no issue with my stick all axis are centered.

check that your flaps are down 25 degrees.

I always check the flaps they were in the right position but last night strangely she was rotating well again don't know what happened. Could be due to the Random Failures being ON I guess.

I am losing RPM on take off run @300 km/h on AB . My inlet cone is enabled and also see the cone position . Now this does not happen every time it is random, I have enabled Random Failures would that be causing it ?

BTW when i see the engine RPM it is different from the F2 view. Meaning if the RPM gauge is showing 90% in the F2 view it shows @70-74% , not that I use the F2 view for all that but I use it only to check altitude because the altitude indicator is a bit difficult to read visually.

I just noticed something funny, the moment I try to rotate her @300 km/h that RPM will go down like.

Damn hope it's not a problem with my stick

Make sure that your throttle controller is working properly. Press RCtrl+enter to show the controls indicator, and see how your throttle behaves. I'd also suggest to turn off the random failures until you're familiar with the plane.

I noticed it too. Ignore it. :D

Hi Grunf ,

well all the stick controls are fine. The engine was OK in the morning and didn't have any issues now it is continuously happening.

I love failures :) she is under my command behaves the way I want her to :D

BTW I tried the throttle with the keyboard and the same problem
