javelina1 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Is it possible to have a Gauge extraction for the 109? Such as Helios, (much like the P-51)? javelina1 Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 Helios. But you'll have to do a faif share of lua code to make it happen as helios does not natively support fw. gotcha. I thought there might be something readily available for the 109. (I am using Helios for the A10C & P-51). If I was on winter holiday break, I'd might take a shot at this... :music_whistling: MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
BravoYankee4 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Use HawgTouch - it is a great alternative to Helios, and it has a profile for the 109 and here is how it looks like. I don't have that module so I can't verify that all gauges are working properly, but you should definitely give it a try. Software can de found here: https://github.com/s-d-a/HT And needed export files here: https://github.com/s-d-a/DCS-ExportScripts Edited January 24, 2016 by BravoYankee4 Added information

BravoYankee4 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 awesome dude! many thanks! You're welcome. Please give us feedback about the progress.
BravoYankee4 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Chinese to me.... what are you talking about guys ????? :-) It is about software (HawgTouch) that displays the aircraft gauges and instruments on a second monitor. Great for cockpit builders, but also for everyone that want to look at the instruments without zooming and panning in and out all the time. I have a 3 (19") +1 (27") monitors and below is a screenshot of the view I have when I fly.
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Great stuff... I really ought to invest on a 2nd monitor! Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
javelina1 Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 I was able to install HawgTouch just fine. And, I'm able to display the 109 gauges on my 2nd monitor, (1600x900). When I launch into DCS (1.52 production version), the HawgTouch gauges are not working. Seems to be no linkage between it and the sim. I have placed the files in the necessary paths: c:\users\<my_account_name>\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts & c:\users\<my_account_name>\Saved Games\DCS\ExportsModules I put HawgTouch here: e:\sim\HT I'll be troubleshooting again later today. Close, but not there yet. :) MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
Dafiew Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Did the same and they are not working I'm using helios for the A-10C and the Kamov with Captn Zeen export setup(working great before and after new export file) any one has both systems working? By the way this HT software is the bomb!!!! AWESOME! :) Edited January 25, 2016 by Dafiew Simflyin' since 1985 :smartass:
frumpy Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Couldn't get Hawg to work on 1.5.2 either (local and networked). Still I don't rule out missing something out on my side :)

javelina1 Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 BravoYankee4, do you have any insight as to why HT isn't working for us? If you have it running, great! we'll learn from that. MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
BravoYankee4 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I had some issues myself yesterday, when I tried to get the new version up and running. First, I forgot to activate the gauge dll, so I had nog guages displayed at all. Kind of stupid error that I can't blame HT. Then I had some struggle getting the export working and eventually I only had partial success with only a few instruments updating. This is a tip from the developers: Check the tab “general” in the properties from HawgTouch.exe and HawgTouch.GaugePack.dll. If there is the option “activate on this computer” in the field “attributes” you have to activate this! Tonight I will try (for test purposes only) to install the old version again just. If that fires up I can send you the exact files I use and we can try if that will be succesful for you or not. Unless any of the SDA guys have any better ideas or input before that.
Dafiew Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Everything is enabled and checked out I got nothing exporting, any modules, my helios A-10 and KA50 stuff works great with the new export file so I am assuming it as to do with the HT export side of the file, would love to figure it out as I can't wait to try all the new profiles I have created the last 2 days for all the modules I own :) Simflyin' since 1985 :smartass:

BravoYankee4 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Sorry, life got in the way so I didn't get any time for this yesterday.
Dafiew Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) SOLVED I was using the config button in the HT ctrl panel and the Helios profiler which screws up the export file all you have to do is change the port number and put a 1 or a 2 in the glasscockpit type line for it to work! Thanks for all the input everyone! Edited January 27, 2016 by Dafiew Simflyin' since 1985 :smartass:
frumpy Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 @Dafiew Which config button? :-s So you're using HT now? Can you post your Config.lua please? It seems like the format changed a bit with the version for 1.5.2 (Ikarus).

It seems like the format changed a bit with the version for 1.5.2 (Ikarus). the "enable" button in the HT ctrl panel, I am running the default files didn't change anything in them apart from the glasscockpit type and port number in export.lua when I want to switch to helios  Simflyin' since 1985 :smartass:
javelina1 Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Got it to work, with the latest version! as per the PDF instructions, copy the files into your users\<account_name\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts and users\<account_name>\Saved Games\DCS\ExportsModules Make sure to make a copy or backup of the files you may end up clobbering prior! Wherever you unzipped the HT original data files, you should see a "DCS-ExportScripts-master" sub-dir. Go into that, and then enter into another sub-dir named "Scripts". In that sub-dir "Scripts", I found another Export.lua. It has the Glasscockpit and port number that Dafiew described. I then copied that particular Export.lua into my \users\<account_name>\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts sub-dir and then relaunched HT Lo and behold, my gauge extract for the K-4 is now working on my 2nd monitor!!!
