Does M-2000C have the pro FM, or is this the lesser FM? In fact, what are the different FM models?

This post will answer your questions:

DCS Product Terms

Yeah indeed Bignewy smile.gif

In simple terms...

SFM = Standard Flight Model (pretty close to real thing)

EFM = External Flight Model (more realistic, term used for third party developers flight model)

AFM = Advanced Flight Model (ED's own realistic model)

PFM = Professional Flight Model (Signed off by real life pilots as being accurate)

M-2000C is EFM

It is worth noting that it doesn't mean that the EFM is inferior, nor superior to the ED's PFM, it just means that it's made by a 3rd party, and that it's better (hopefuly :D) than SFM.

BTW, AI always flies SFM.

Yes, it is important to understand that PFM and AFM are internal Eagle Dynamics designations (Belsimtek also use them but they are close partners to ED). SFM is also an ED-designation, but it is available to third parties.

EFM is any third-party flight model plugged into DCS. It does not presuppose anything on the accuracy of the flight model. Of course, most if not all third parties strive towards a PFM-level flight model. Whether they succed or not is anyone's guess, bar an official word from Eagle Dynamics.

Perhaps you should get a Mod to close it on this happy note.
