After some fiddling around with the mission editor for a bit, I felt the need to start and see if I can make a campaign with the mods that I have. Although they're both attack, I've started to appreciate the 25T and A-hog more. Though I still plan on buying more mods, it's gonna be a long time before that ever happens.

I've figured out what triggers are needed to activate stuff and message logs and stuff, so now I feel ready to start off.

Is there any good advice I could use for a first timer?

It doesn't make much sense to create a campaign in an obsolete version of DCS. Do you plan to keep it for yourself, then by all means go ahead. If you want to share it, update to 1.5 first.

Is my 2 cents.

The main issue I see is if you are below minimum spec and cannot upgrade to the release version and have to remain on a legacy version which, then

Who are you going to play a campaign with?

You are about to embark on something that will cost you days time and its literally of little value even for learning because the engine has changed so much, we have new versions of MIST, we have a new API from ED, the scripts you will have to find the correct back version on which that all worked.

Creating a campaign has less to do with imagination and more to do with working round DCS's foibles and broken SE pieces.

I'm not being an ass to make you feel worthless, you may still enjoy the process for no other reason than going through the process itself and I get that, it's just you will spend a long time testing out stuff and its goign to be a waste of that experience if you can't relate it to much in the live version.

Keep in mind my sig is my current setup for dcs right now. I don't have the money nor a card to buy the necessary parts to replace them right now, so I HAVE no choice but to use 1.2.

If I wanted to go to 1.5, I would. But it's a heavy drawback for my pc. It can barely put up with 1.2, let alone 1.5/2.0.:(

But my point is I wanted to know how it's like for those who do make campaigns whether frequently or on occasion for me to learn from. As whether for sharing or for self purposes, the latter is my option for now, but I might consider for others after 1.5 for a while.

I do thank you guys for the input and feedback.
