FeistyLemur Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Now, before you judge the condition of my plane, keep in mind this is after I tried the new dogfighting tactic of cutting off the opponents wing with my rudder... Plus side, I won. Landing with only my nose gear, no rudder, and having to hold the stick at 3/4 deflection to fly semi straight with stabilizing autopilot on was interesting. But I brought it down in one piece! well the piece that I was left attached to anyway.
Hook47 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Had many adventures like this at the hands of the MiG. Best DCS module out there, hands down. Good job keeping the shiny side up!
Capt_Haddock Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 And right on the runway's centre line... Show off! ;)
mr_mojo97 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Actually the rudder is still there - just the rest of the vertical stabiliser isn't! Grundar Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I see there are no emergency vehicles deployed for your Mig there, possibly because they are trying to resuscitate your aircraft mechanic who watched the landing happen :D Great job on the landing, the Mig-21 is just an entertaining bird to fly overall it can take a bit of a rough up quite well.
NeilWillis Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I don't think your crew chief will be too impressed. Nice one though.
EntropySG Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 someone get some duct tape! ^^ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RaXha Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Actually the rudder is still there - just the rest of the vertical stabiliser isn't! I would be impressed if the rudder still works though! :joystick:
FeistyLemur Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 I would be impressed if the rudder still works though! :joystick: Unfortunately it didn't. I was sure wishing it did though because it was really hard to land that thing when it would suddenly start yawing back and forth all over the place if you made the wrong move with the stick.
grunf Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Well done bringing her home in (almost) one piece! :D
