Definitely pre-911. 1998 back when I was part of an Air Cadet sqdn here (at the ripe young age of 13). First time being up close and personal with a real fighter was with a Langley F-15, although I'll admit, they didn't let us very close ;).

Anyway, thanks to the experience I'm pretty much a fighter pilot now. I'm glad I don't have to go ahead and prove myself during years of service. I might go write the aptitude test for the RCAF just to seal the deal, who knows, if I do GrayGhost will probably give ME an IP slot! :P

Edit: Rhen can you confirm that spelling and grammar are NOT on the ASVAB?

Do you have a point to your posts, rlogue?

OK...just checking. I was just wondering because of what you had said, in jest, about Marines. If I said that around here I'd be in for a fight, since a good portion of my family are jarheads. ;)

Ok guys, it would seem this forum has gone slightly off topic. But thank you for giving us a little insight into your guys experience so atleast allow me to introduce myself as well.

My real name is Paul Moffat, I am from New Zealand are 25 and would be what you guys would consider as a Civilian! I work a 7-5 job working as a forklift driver/yardsman for a timber/hardware supply store.

I hold a strong interest in Aviation, are progressing through my PPL and have a little over 2 years of experience in Flight Simulators, where most of that is in IL-2.

MAC and myself decided to transition over to Lomac and develop our own Virtual Squadron, to develop an environment where mature and dedicated pilots from all walks of life can come together, learn as much about air-combat and have as much fun doing it as possible.

We did not intend to recruit actual Airforce Pilots/Personnel so I guess you guys may have misinterpreted what I meant by a Virtual IP with Vast Amounts of F15 Experience and Knowledge. From my perspective I mean ingame! I know its all relative, and what we know as opposed to you guys may infact be greatly inferior but for what it counts, I dont really care.

It is the intention of the 9th to remain loyal to as much realism as possible which is also why we will transition over to FighterOPS once it becomes available. But at the end of the day, most of our pilots are not actual fighter pilots so some sense of understanding is necessary especially considering how I (guess) incorrectly worded my initial post.

At any rate I thank you guys for the insight but would be greatly appreciated if this thread can be given the opportunity to exist for what it was supposed to do. Advertise the 9th Airforce and give everybody an opportunity to consider joining whether or not they do in fact have real vast experience and knowledge of the F-15 etc.

Sorry for the confusion, I will try and use a bit more clarity in the future.

I apologize as well. Really, it looks like you've got a great site and are well on your way to having a great LOMAC squadron. Sorry for the derailment as well. Good Luck to the 9th AF and all who serve in your virtual squad. Hope to fly with (and against :smilewink: ) you guys.

Good luck Paul & hope you stick with LOMAC. It's a great game that's fun to fly (even more fun to fly in an organized manner with/against other squads).

This can and may well be your hardest task good luck:pilotfly:

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

My apologies for the hijack too. We flew off on a tangent that really wasn't a commentary on your site, its a very good site and I'm sure none of us meant to belittle anybody. ;)
