CHDT Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Hi all, Just curious (cannot find the information elsewhere), has the Mig-21 a togglable pilot in the cockpit ? I'm asking this because I'm not very confortable with empty cockpits.
Harle Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I'm not very comfortable with any body inside the cockpit for some reason.
CHDT Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 As long as it is togglable, what's the problem for people not liking this ? Edit: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2FwzWFnNGo[/ame] Looks cool. Sold me the bird.
CHDT Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 So I suppose there's no pilot in cockpit now for the Mig-21. Is it planned ?
Nooch Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Yes I remember seeing a post from cobra saying it is planned. It's like realistic external sounds for the Mig-21, things we've been wanting since the release of the module. I guess it'll come eventually. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

CHDT Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 "So we have pilot body in mirage? Where to get it?" Still in the making.
zaelu Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) I'm not very comfortable with any body inside the cockpit for some reason. Since the pilot body can be disabled or enabled from Miscellaneous Options Menu and also be Toggled On/Off by a key command, I am not sure why people like you waste their time to post such opinions about a requested feature by a part of community? What would you say to a cockpit builder that has in his home a fully functional A-10C cockpit, if when A10-C was developed he would say to Eagle Dynamics... "Somehow I don't need a 3D cockpit to be build for this module"?? Or what would you say if the setting to remove the stick in the cockpit would be enforced to everybody and not be optional as it is now? The pilot inside the cockpit is not uncomfortable for many of us, we "identify" with it and don't have some "strange feelings" about it and if we use 6DoF headtracking we can move inside the cockpit to click/see some hidden controls/dials. Also in need, we use the key to remove it temporary. In the future the absence of this 1st person body in cockpit will hinder the immersion when more and more people will use devices like Oculus or Vivre. Here are screenshots with the settings I was talking about in case you've missed them.
