I am really frustrated when trying to change though radio frequencies using the mouse wheel. I have to spin and spin and spin and the frequency changes so slowly.

I have tried changing the number of lines moved in windows 10. This speeds up things like word but no change in DCS.

Cannot see an axis setting for the wheel sensitivity in DCS.

Does anyone know how to increase the sensitivity of the wheel so my finger is not going to fall off!!!

Thanks

If you have a "gamer mouse" you probably have a software that can change it. I just tried it with my Roccat Tyon and it seems it works. (good idea btw, that annoyed me as well. :) )

Hi Aginor

I do not have a gaming mouse. Is there no other way to adjust the mouse in dcs?

There was a mod a few months ago that did something like that (among other things) for the MiG-21:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2537161

I am not sure which values exactly would have to be changed, I think it is one of the numbers in the blocks that look like this:

elements["PNT_211"] = default_axis(LOCALIZE("Radio Channel"),devices.RADIO, device_commands.RadioChannel, 211, 20, 0.333333, true, false)

Or in the blocks in which the types of buttons/knobs are defined.

But maybe somebody with more DCSW lua experience will know.

You would have to do it for every plane and/or every knob though, I think.

Thanks Tim that just dawned on me just thought there might have been a simple adjustment for mouse wheel

It isn't that simple with the mouse wheel I think.

I hopped into the M2000C last night and it seems my software also only changes the scroll lines in windows and does not like I initially thought change the behaviour in DCSW.

So I don't know whether I just used the wrong setting or if it is just not possible.

Programmable keyboard or mosue buttons could still work, for example by having a macro with mutliple key presses on one key.

There are some mouses which have a very interesting feature. The scroll wheel have two mechanical positions:

1. The scroll wheel is working normal and you are sensing small bumps during rotation.

2. The "free mode" is a mechanical switch on the mouse which nulify those bumps and let the wheel to rotate freely. This is usually combined with a more heavy scrolling wheel to obtain a kind of inertia so that with a small impulse from your finger it will rotate enough time to simulate a continous travel from start to end for the buttons in the cockpit.

The mouse type I had with this kind of functionality was Logitech G700. For sure there should be newer models which have this functionality too. I am pretty sure that is the best option for your OP request.

Or you can try a Logitech T650, a touchpad quite versatile... but here are some drawbacks regarding precision

As suggested I just set the adf frequency change on my warthog throttle. Works quickly now so no problem spinning that wheel for half an hour
