Alt+Enter will get you in true full screen in case you did not know. It is not documented yet. I am pretty sure that eventually it will get shorted out.

Does this really work with almost any game? I thought it was like just what some games decided to have.

Question is, in my case using a NVidia GF 960, is there an advantage in using windowed mode instead of full-screen, when running, as I do, DCS in the native PC resolution of 1920 x 1080 ?

I don't know of any other games for which "full screen" doesn't mean actually full screen. Several have a separate "Full screen windowed" option.

From what I understand (can't seem to find a reference now, sorry) they made the change in 1.5 to facilitate Alt-Tabbing (which hasn't helped for me)

Same Question from me.

Only thing I can say here - you can't export MFD or Shkval to different monitor if full-screen enabled.

Some games seem to run smoother in borderless vs full screen.

I've noticed that in Battlefield 4, CoD Advanced Warfare and SW Battlefront.

I think that's because the graphics driver disable certain graphical effects in windowed mode so the graphics are/can be worse than windowed mode.

Don't know a lot about it though, and if this game is designed to work in borderless window rather than full screen, maybe they don't use them anyway?

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can comment.
