Awesome gents, thank to all who registered and showed up, thanks to the 104th and especially IronMike for a great work at managing the server so that the event runs smoothly.

 

I was able to tell through the comms how intense the battle was from start til the very end with a lot of teamwork shown by both teams. Glad you guys enjoyed flying in RF5! I will have to go through the logs to be able to determine which team won; I will do so after Tacview gets published.

Thanks to organizers and all the pilots. I had multiple hair rising close calls evading blue missiles but managed to survive to the end. Thanks for the Challenger side for putting up a though and fun fight and aggressors for great teamplay. And salute to Plaiskool and Stuge for their impressive performance!

Nice match, team balance was surprisingly good. Points to Challengers for making a very nice push mid-game, clearing way for strikers to get some air-to-ground kills!

 

Also it was a nice feeling to fly with a "pro-only" team, if you can say that. Comms and especially tactics is a lot easier when you pretty much know the capabilities of every pilot you're flying with.

 

And thx Ironmike for good adminning and flawless execution of the event :)

After flying as Challenger in RF4 I now had the opportunity to fly as Aggressor and I must say it was a great pleasure. Those guys I flew with are true professionals and absolutely cool-headed. There were eight or so guys in our channel and communication was absolutely perfect and spot on. I remember other sessions with panic and chatter and all that stuff that distracts you from doing your job but that was absolutely not the case here. There was so much confidence and true belief in each other that many of us went up without a dedicated wingman and the next friendly aircraft 10NM behind. Then Plaiskool went on his rampage what boosted our morale even higher, even with losing Sweeper and Ocelot in the early stages of tze battle.

 

Thank you, guys, you really are gentlemen gangsters!

Well unfortunately i didn't even get airborne in my M2000, Warthog Joystick Died on taxiing!!! Had it for 4 years and the first tournament it dies within 5 mins.

 

Thanks for putting on the event and hopefully i will be able to takeoff in the next tourny

Again some issues with the track being corrupted, sadly this seems to be the norm for now in DCS. The track was replayed at 1x Speed however some users are showing as the wrong coalition.

 

Disputes can be posted at the SA-Sim forum, the official scores will be worked out from the log files and tacview, what happens in the video may not be an accurate representation of what happened on the day!

It looks like I might have actually got a kill before I blacked out after all. He was well in the gate without terrain to mask, so I was suprised when I did not get any message.

I might have to make my own track aswell to make sure.

TacVIEW only records what DCS replays... its DCS that is corrupting the tracks, this has been happening for a while now.

Is it possible to let Tacview record while the battle is live? I mean, it's payware, shouldn't be there a possibilty?

Live data export is disabled on purpose so that it can not be used to enhance SA in unfair ways.

 

Scoring wise we will proceed as usual gentlemen, for those discrepancies please post on SA forum and I will follow up with you.

 

You can use the Claiming and reporting section for anything like :

 

- Claiming kills that are not seen in Tacview like maneuver kills or shared kills

 

- Clarifying who's who especially for those who appear under false names on Tacview ( if you feel you've been affected please enable data export in Tacview then run your own track from the event then submit the generated Tacview on the section above - you will appear as 'player' then)
