pandoraefretum Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Hello there, I have a modest i7 3770K 3.4 GHz CPU with Radeon HD 7850 Graphics This PC is coming up to 4 years of age this Summer. I've got the Saitek X55 Rhino kit which is okay Anyway I have to say I am simply stunned at DCS 1.5 and 2.0 performance... I think it's the best piece of software I have ever owned. I usually reach my requested 60fps especially in free flight (res 1920x1200) But greedy question ; what hardware do I need to step up a notch or 2 in performance (without going silly) ? ie. sensible performance / price ratio ? On the front of controllers though, I do wonder if there are any potential players coming to this genre with the modules coming into play later in the year? My particular interest is the F-18C. Everyone always seems to want the latest and greatest, but that processor is pretty solid. I run every thing maxed in DCS with this system with no issues. But I do have an 8gb card, and overkill ram. Don't be afraid to ramp it up. Like others said, a card and ram upgrade and you will be in great shape. Make sure your power supply is adequate for your upgrades!
