AstroEma Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 HI all, Not really a question related to the DCS module but does anyone know which helmets the pilots use on the Warthog? Thanks! E. Griffon26 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Hey, I think it was the HGU-48/P at early stages and than the HGU-55/P. But im not sure if they still use them. Take a look here: http://www.salimbeti.com/aviation/helmets7.htm Regards Griffon26 Edited March 28, 2016 by Griffon26 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Never parachute into an area you've just bombed You never have too much fuel, unless you burn.

Deadman Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 HGU 55 and variants https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
craig_sez Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 As silly as it might be,i have often wondered when i get more into this, will i ever actually get a helmet and mask(pipe in air with a normal fan on the other side)and maybe if there was an adapter to run sound through the helmet..Yeah i know, over kill at it finest.. The "SCALES" of aeronautical performance will weigh heavily on your next move..
EricR Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Silly? Maybe:pilotfly:, but I have an HGU 55 that was given to me years back and is in near perfect condition and I think would add to the emersion of the sim. I however haven't had the guts to wear it. Or not aroud the wife. If you are ever able to snag one of those. They do make PC adapters for them. Just do a little google search for it. Last time i checked I think the adapter is around 80.00 bucks.
Norsegunar Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) From this video I've found awhile back, it looks like a mix of the HGU-55/P, and the JHMCS helmets. I'm guessing it's Pilot preference.
