JG27_Arklight Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Alphasim is only one place that caters to the military crowd. There's also Iris, and RAZBAM, not to mention some nice freeware out there. Search Avsim.com as well as Flightsim.com. Iris Simulations has a nice Mig-29, Mig-27, and other aircraft. nscode Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Captain sim and Lago have mi-8, mi-24, mig-21. THE best freeware i think you can get (and not only because it's my favorite plane :D) is the Galeb G2. People who like this add-on will be happy to know that Super Galeb G4 is on it's way, and that the same team will continue to produce these fine models as long as our airforce doesn't get much more fuel, so that they could actually fly :D :( :( http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military28.htm 1 Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.

Galeb G2 is the best freeware that could be a payware - in case you take only military aircrafts option to choose. Real nice FM and 3D model. I'm most glad to hear about Super Galeb under way. Thanks nscode for info. Could You also give a sign when it comes out?

thesystem Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Wow! Shame to admit but I first time heard about it. I checked these products and I'm well surprised. thesystem! What about flight models You could say. Well, the flight models are good, i dont have allot experience on heli's though but the Nemeth feels better (more mechanical) than the lago's The panels are much better and also the avionics. You realy need to learn the startup procedures because else you do almost 15 minutes on just the starting when you need to find all the switches. You can also fly the beasts entirely from the virtual cockpit, what is realy nice when you have trackIR, every switch works in the vc. you can also walk to the cargo bay and all stuff.... And the smaller stuff like the hoodlem, the colibri and the mi-2 The fly like they are little! So you realy feel like you are flying with them. not like the standard bel....the newest addon is the kamov! That one, i think it is cute! DCS World, A10C, AV8B, M2k, FA18C, FC3, MIG21
VMFA117_Poko Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Thank You for explaining. I took a better look on the panels of Mi-17 and for my luck all typography is in english not russian wich are much more helpfull in my case. Good
thesystem Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Well, here are some screenshots of the Nemeth-Design Kamov Ka-26 Hoodlum, Enjoy! 1 DCS World, A10C, AV8B, M2k, FA18C, FC3, MIG21
VMFA117_Poko Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006  What an ugly SotB. No offence ;). Has anyone heard about IRIS? They made MiG-29 and Tornado. Which Tornado is better? Lago or IRIS. I may expect that IRIS. Lago was always better in sceneries add-ons (EmmaField, georenders or Venice are very, very nice). Pitty that can't say about their aircrafts...
Agg Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Has anyone heard about IRIS? They made MiG-29 and Tornado. Which Tornado is better? Lago or IRIS. I may expect that IRIS. Neither is great, but as far as I can remember from my FS-days, the Lago Tornado was the best out there...
JG27_Arklight Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 For Helo's check out Hovercontrol.com and Nemeth Designs. Do a search at Avsim.com for David Friswell, Bjorn Buchner, Andreas Meyer, and Dave Garwood (He has some GREAT freeware!). David Garwood has some of the best freeware military aircraft I have seen. He does some very nice work. Hope this helps. :) Ark ------------------ Windows 10 Pro x64 9900K @ 5ghz Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB CAS 14 EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Ultra XC2 256gb Samsung 869 Pro (Boot Drive) 1TB - Samsung 970 EVO Plus Seasoninc 1000w Titanium Ultra PSU 34" ASUS PG348
JG27_Arklight Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 the Lago Tornado was the best out there... Agreed. The LAGO Tornado was VERY nice, so is there F-16. Crusty Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Nemeth mi17 and captain sim c130 are two of my favs the mi17 feels the most realistic large-ish helo to me, lots better than any of the freeware ones ive tried ((seems to have got the feeling of momentum down better) out of the freeware ones, jordan moore's 412 is good, definately go to hovercontrol, they got lots of good heli stuff oo err...missus:animals_bunny: ** Anti-Pastie**
