Wrecking Crew Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I'm pretty sure that Experience does not have a profile for DCS. SharpeXB Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 What are you trying to accomplish with GFE? If you want to use Shadowplay you need to set DCS to a real full screen mode, just press Alt+Enter and you'll see the Shadowplay icon appear. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
Hadwell Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I was having problems with shadowplay the other day, had the green dot with a red line through it... but there was an update for GFE, so while I was in the middle of flying on 104th I updated it, every once in a while a new window would pop up while it was installing, and i'd be in the middle of a turn or a dive and it would happen... fortunately I didn't crash or anything, and the update did get shadowplay working again, without needing to restart dcs... with that short, but pointless story out of the way.... you can set shadowplay to just record the entire desktop, then you can run dcs how ever you want and it doesn't care. and no, it doesn't have a dcs profile. Akki Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 There is no DCS profile in NVidia Experience as Hadwell and Wrecking Crew are pointing out. If you want to try some hidden configuration options yourself you can try Nvidia Inspector. I have experimented a lot with it and with Nvidia control panel and I can not fix the worst immersion killer for me: spiked cockpit shadows. Those ugly bastards are impossible to improve as far as I can tell and I hate them the most. Every other thing in DCS is ok for me, you have a powerful vcard and you can hit the HIGH settings button and be happy. Any specific setting that you want to improve? quicksinner Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 If its just a matter of using shadow play as a game capture I just use desktop capture when I play since they don't have a profile for the new DCS. It worked with DCS 1.2 but since 1.5 and 2 have come out game capture stopped working for me. Unless there is something more that could be done, this is what has worked for me.
Stretch Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Figured it out. Disabling Instant Replay (f.k.a ShadowPlay) did it, as well as broadcasting. Basically all the overlay features.
