New to mission builder - mission set for the Uh-1d

Hi to all ,

 

I am new to mission builder and need sime help to start a project that i like to make for long time.

 

I fly Sims for more than 20 years. And all the time want to make a set of mission from some historical events.

 

I all the time like the uh-1 helicopter and since its one of the great model in DCS i deside its a great time to start make my dream come tru :).

 

Long story short.

 

I like ti creat a set of mission for the years of 1968-73 about the Israeli air force use in the year.

 

In this years the israeli air force use this heli for 2 wars.

And also the most use in place that called "The Land CHases"

 

I have not much info about creat mission and use the script so i lurn on the fly al the things i need.

 

First i like to know if this is a posibe to crate a mission trigger that whan i start the mission with a airbase after booming attack?

I found how to creat a unit destroy at mission start but not for the base buildings lime ATC,runwY and etc..

 

Also last thing

Its will be very helpull if u can send me links or any info that can help doing this project sucssefull.

There are basically two resources i used the most when i began making missions:

 

1. Learn the Mission Editor basics for triggers from here: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/DCS_Mission_Editor_(ME)

2. Read up on MIST from here: http://wiki.hoggit.us/view/Mission_Scripting_Tools_Documentation and here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98616

 

With a good understanding of basic triggers and how to use MIST, you will be on a great path to start making some pretty immersive missions.

 

The second suggestion I have for you is to BEG BORROW AND STEAL. :) Basically - play missions for the Huey that you like and then open up the track file (.trk) by renaming it to .miz and having a peek at it in the mission editor . This is a great way to see how others have done things and it will also help you see how some of the trigger logic can flow. You can also rename a .miz to a .zip and open it to see the sound files and scripts that may or may not be bundled witht he mission.

 

In terms of your question about the destroyed units at mission start - yes this is possible by a few different ways. One way you could do it would be to set a bunch of zones around where you would like to see the explosions occur then place an explosion on each zone at mission start.

 

i.e. MISSION START->NO CONDITION->EXPLOSION (ZONE XXX, ALTITUDE 1, VOLUME 1000) where XXX = each zone location you want to have a "Bomb" go off from the attack...

but any way i can add this all zone and action to one script instead of create 30 zones and 30 actions?
