kaboki Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) It is awful. And the impostors isn't making it better, they just look ridicoulous and takes away all the immersion. Far distance isn't really the problem, just make the small dots darker, instead of making things bigger in the distance. The white dots we have now is almost impossible too see. This game is not fun in anything else than modern fighters where the radar sees everything, got damn frustrating. The dirty canopy in the mig21 doesn't help either. Got dammit Im frustrated. How hard can it be to make it right. Do the devs even play their own game?:badmood::thumbdown::crash: Edited April 16, 2016 by BIGNEWY 1.1 profanity 1 Specs: Intel i7 3770k 3.5Ghz, Nvidia GTX980 4GB, 8gb RAM
Elwood Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 You are right, I'm using the 21 just as ground attack! As the radar doesn't work at all.
kobac Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 There is Universal Model Visibility Setting Mod that can fix things. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Everything is possible ...
kaboki Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) There is Universal Model Visibility Setting Mod that can fix things. Does this work in multiplayer and DCS 2.0? Kinda ridicilous that a modder can come up with something better than ED. They should hire this guy! Tried the clean cockpit mod, it helped, but I don't like the look of the cockpit textures, looks a bit cartony, now If I could only have the canopy and keep the rest of the textures it would be great... gavagai Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 There is Universal Model Visibility Setting Mod that can fix things. That's a bit overstated, I think. It is an incremental improvement, depending on your hardware and display. In some circumstances I prefer the default impostors. Over all the impostors look terrible and from specific viewing angles can disappear entirely. I prefer to turn them off now, even though it makes spotting a WW2 bird from more than 2km nigh impossible. P-51D | Fw 190D-9 | Bf 109K-4 | Spitfire Mk IX | P-47D | WW2 assets pack | F-86 | Mig-15 | Mig-21 | Mirage 2000C | A-10C II | F-5E | F-16 | F/A-18 | Ka-50 | Combined Arms | FC3 | Nevada | Normandy | Straight of Hormuz | Syria
Elwood Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Is the screen change anything? Same resolution but different DPI shouldn't change much, with good eyes. Don't tell me That we should start to compare screens with picture instead of screenshot to evaluate a DCS update/mod.
Elwood Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 My idea of good use if Mark1EyeSensor was in IL2 1946. Can't spot much with 21 and 1.5/2.0
Schmidtfire Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I would pay money for a Spotting DLC. I belive that Razbam has the skill and talent to make it right =) Maybe canopy/airframe reflections is the way to go for increased spotting...
zaelu Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Spotting DLC  . A good one would worth 15$ . As for the Universal Visibility Mod, that one although very nice in Singleplayer in Multiplayer puts you in direct disadvantage as you will actually see far less than the enemy. Yes it's works in MP. Try it and see whether this satisfy you. I recommend JSGME for easy activation/deactivation mode. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Everything is possible ...

Tried it, though not perfect it's sure is helluva lot better than what ED has come up with. ED please learn from this guy, he's on the right path....
