Is jsgme mod manager compatible with windows 10, every time i try to install it, it does not give me the opportunity to make or rename a Mod folder. It goes straight to the existing DCS Mod folder and will not budge. If i make another mod folder(different name of course) and redirect it to the new folder it keeps telling me it does not exist.

Anyone have similar problems or idea's. I would be grateful for any help guys, thanks in advance.:helpsmilie:

Is there a JSGME.ini file in there? Try deleting it.

I installed JSGME into c:\utls\jsgme, that's where my jsgme.ini file lives.

I run it using shortcuts on the desktop, with the target pointing to c:\utls\jsgme\jsgme.exe, and the "start in" field set to each of my DCS installations. (F:\games\dcsw, F:\games\dcsb, and F:\games\dcs2)

Each DCS installation has a separate _MODS directory with the dcsX folders above, and it works just fine for me.

When you 'install' JSGME you should only use the JSGME executable. Do not include any other files. The first time it is executed it creates the .ini file in the same folder where the executable is (this is also when it will ask you to name your mods folder), which could be hidden by default in Windows explorer.

well i installed jsgme into DCS root folder, no shortcut, clicked the application in said root and instead of giving me the choice of renaming or making a new folder it went straight away and open the original mod folder that contains aircrafts, campaigns, tech and terrains AGAIN. WTF. looks like when they finally (if ever) they merge 1.5 and 2.2 i will install mods the old fashioned way, thanks for your help guys. until then it's back to "Air Missions, HIND" at least that works, heh heh.

Just put JSGME in a separate folder and use shortcuts. It's really quite simple.

I will agree that it works just a well that way. I just never bother since the duplicated files are small enough to be insignificant. Also, that way I just have to edit the shortcut name to know what game it is affecting. Although, frequently, I just open the relevant game folder and execute it directly.

Finally sorted it guys, I realised I was downloading jsgme setup not jsgme.zip . Made all the difference. Thanks for all the help and advice.
