Air Force spokesman Maj. Stian Roen said the incident occurred shortly after midnight on April 13 on the island of Tarva, off Norway's western coast. Roen said Sunday that the aircraft was supposed to fire at a simulated target on the airfield some 500 meters (550 yards) away but that "something went wrong." The lookout tower was slightly damaged by the gunfire, he said. Roen said he couldn't give further details pending the outcome of an investigation by a special commission.

Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
otto Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 He should fly DCS and practice. Otherwise he could shoot he's own 6 off :D.
Weedwacker Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Yeah, I would have hit the dirt, but before they even knew what happened it was already over I'm sure.
Alicatt Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 We had an incident with a USAF F-15 accidently dropping a missile on the forest at the Ord of Caithness, it was on a training exercise dropping practice bombs at the range at Tain a few miles to the south. You can see where the new growth is replacing the trees which were burnt down. The fire closed the road for a few days while they got it under control, and as that is the main route into Caithness it had a big impact on us. Sons of Dogs, Come Eat Flesh Clan Cameron
