Screen sizes bigger than 17" tend to make 1080p look like a pixel soup, let alone the 768. On TVs, we tend not to see that effect only because we watch them from a distance. Gaming, especially simming though, usually means having the screen right in front of you. If you are going to be near your screen when flying, chances are TV will be so unsharp, dials won't be readable. Even on 23" PC monitors, 1080 may look somewhat unharp.

I have a relatively cheap 1080p LCD TV next to me and while it feels awesome for a few minutes to fly DCS on it, effect wears off fairly quick due to unreadable dials etc.

May be a very high res and sharp high quality TV will work, but those tend to be fairly expensive especially as USD has lifted off to orbit against TL recently :).

Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

For the cheap version I currently run 3 Westinghouse 40in LCD on my system. Just make sure the TV has a VGA port for the computer. Standard HDMI 1.4 is not good for computer the processing that the LCD does for TV signal is horrible for computer, unless its HDMI 2.0. But with the VGA port you can have TV plugged in to the HDMi and the computer plugged into the VGA. just swap inputs to use comp or tv.
