"The game is almost finished, release is this year. Russian verison will be a bit earier - probably Septermber, October. Basicly the game is in final testing now."

There was information about this game on one of the russian sim-forums from the G5 Software's(developers of this game, and, by the way, they are NOT "IL-2 makers") ex-designer, that this game has nothing but nice graphics. Another one arcade heli-sim, with same scripted missions, and terrible flight-model.

Realy ? That sounds like bad news. I wonder what's up with the fully clickable cockpit WoV has then.

I checked their site and for Fair Strike it says helicopter action/simulation and for the WoV it only says helicopter simulation. I hope this actually represents a major difference in these two games (as Fair Strike is some kind of Comanche clone).

 

Scripted missions is something I expected, though. What did you expect? A full dynamic Vietnam war campaign? ;)

Ex-designer? Sounds like some disgruntled DEV that was let go, whos now going around bad-mouthing them in return..

Do not know how fine FM is going to be but NO arcade chopper "sim" takes care about modeling "lubrication system, the turbine of engine, transmission, screws, units of the servo instruments, shaft of tail rotor" as damageable elements...

So, this game was released in Russia yesterday. As I said before, it's just another arcade bugy heli-sim with scripted missions.

The blur effects are very very annoying, it's something used to hide the lack of graphics. :(
