So started flying the huey again, i also fly alot of helicopter in my work (passenger though) because i work offshore on a platform. we use the S-92. so im just having fun trying to fly as we fly out there.

But back to the question, how does the rpm work, you set the throttle twist grip to full and never adjust it again in a real helicopter? then the collective up and down adjust the rpm or only the pich of the blades, and the rpm always stays the same?

It has an auto gov that keeps the RPM at optional level.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Of course the S-92 you ride in has a much more advanced engine throttle control....you just put the throttle levers in "FLY" and that's it...the pilot has no direct control over the engine RPM.
