In the campaign the enemy within you're asked to go to a set of coordinates. But is it possible to enter it in the cdu?

Yes.

1. set the Steer knob to Mission

2. Press the WP button.

3. Select Waypoint with the LSK labelled waypoint

4. Enter a name for the waypoint in the scratch pad, press the LSK with the ? next to it.

5. Select either L/L or MGRS using the LSK labelled with either one or the other (it swaps label depending on what is currently selected - L/L by default).

6. Enter the co-ordinates as either MGRS or L/L into the appropriate lines by entering the co-ord in the scratch pad, and pressing the LSK.

7. In the HUD, select the waypoint you just created.

The people above should have answered you question already. Here's a little tip that made this process so much more convenient for me:

Holding down the left windows and control key, I think you can "type" data directly into the CDU. This makes entering coordinates a breeze!

Ain't that "Left Shift + CTRL"?

You can set it in the keyboard commands by yourself. I have removed that modifiers and directly type in what I want.

That works pretty well since I don't need the normal keyboard shortcuts like B for brake, when I type 'B' it types 'B' in the CDU.

I recommend doing it this way if you don't need the keyboard for anything else. Typing directly makes it so much easier.
