chris455 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Hello gentleman, I've had DCS World installed on my PC for some time, have the P-51 and the F-86. Enjoy them very much. I have however taken a long vacation from the sim to play other sims for awhile. I returned recently to see what was new. Of course, when I launched the game there was a lengthy update. Now, when I try to use the sim, everything seems to work perfectly- exept for the strange, alien looking sky that now appears at all times: The sky is DARK- I mean really dark. You would think my mission clock was set to midnight, but this is the case no matter what I set the time of day to. The stars are out- but so is the sun. it is visible at the position one would expect for the set time of day, but it confers no light on the DCS world. I have tried: Updating video drivers; Repairing DCS world; Uninstalling and then re-installing DCS world; Adjusting HDR and other graphics settings. DCS is the only sim of many I have that is behaving strangely. Everything was fine the last time I ran the sim circa 6 months ago. I checked the forums and found some folks complaining of a problem with things being "too dark" and the solution for most seems to deal with HDR settings. But this does not seem to be the problem. I now live in a DCS netherworld where nigt and day are in a strange admixture. I really want to fly my F-86 again over a sunny Caucasus- If anyone has a suggestion to offer, I will be indebted. Respectfully, Chris [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Remembering Arlie "Jack" Campbell, US Army Air Forces, WWII. Well done dad, rest in peace.
