I am having the same problem as well- my FPS in 2.0 is capped to 60 FPS.

I created autoexec.cfg in the correct directory and added the maxfps liine of 90.

I disabled vsync in the NVIDIA control panel.

Not sure what else to look at. :(

Do you have any overclocking programs running or a Driver Profile for DCS?

No, and it`s capped to 60 in hangar scene as well

Something was definitely capping my FPS in 2.0 vs 1.5. I had vsync turned off in the CP, still limited to 60FPS in 2.0, was getting 90 in 1.5.

I ended up just overclocking my monitor to 90Hz (I used to run it at 96Hz), so I now get 90FPS in 2.0 as well now.

It was absolutely the "lazy" workaround, but I got tired of triple checking the config files for vsync, maxfps, nvidia control panel settings, etc. I just couldn't find anything different between my 1.5 and 2.0 installs.

VSYNC is definately on in your 2.0 config files then if it's limited by your Monitor's refresh rate.

I'm still stuck with double vision, why do we have to mess with files that are hidden away?

(I've given up with files as nothing in the locations people have advised and I'm sure they are called something different etc)

Is a fix coming to disable any vsync's and uncap fps -these things are best in the UI as simple clickable option anyhow

I know there isn't an ingame setting for it, so can't check there. I looked in graphics.lua for a peek, and saw that sync=off. I assumed that was vsync, but maybe not?

check the user preferences file that I gave path to above.

That's what DCS will use, not graphics.lua.

Yeah have the same problem and also am very confused by what we are being told we have to do and cant find any of the files except the one we are told NOT to edit. Anyone care to give a clear and dumbed down explanation! I kind of worry about going through files and editing them.

There should always be a C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\DCS.<install>\Config\Options.lua.

Couple of things. You don't need to run it using Stereo monitor setup. DCS auto detects Rift (you have it set). Also, I'm thinking that:

["sync"] = true,

seems to indicate that VSYNC is on. Did you try turning it off?

Sorry excuse my ignorance how do I change it from a stereo monitor setup?

As for the V sync.. should I just edit the options document to "Sync" = false ?

I mean any problems with later updates I could just change it back again right?

Many thanks!

I tried changing the Vsync file but changed it back as it didnt do anything. To be honest DCS 2.0 runs OK for me I'm more concerned with the AI area bombing judder in the beta!

Think I'm just gonna be patient and wait for the devs to bring out optimizations as its very playable already!

Wolf,

Go to setup, and choose another monitor setup. Like 1 Screen (in the drop down). In that same setup screen, you can uncheck VSYNC option.

Huh...I'll try to take a picture of it. It's on the right side. Under disabling Aero, I believe

Set

["sync"] = false

in

C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Config\Options.LUA

Now I`m getting 90 in hangar and when flying high in the desert

45 in other situations (ATW is working) with some doubling

Thinking about buying GTX1080 :)

what's odd is that no one else seems to be having this problem. I would have thought it would have surfaced with others by now.
