Hi, Started flying DCS A10-C about 4 months ago and am really enjoying it. The forum has

led me to invest in the TM Warthog HOTAS, and I waited the 3 months for MFG Crosswinds. My

next and final consideration is 3D.

My question is DCS A10-C 3D friendly? Does it improve the experience of flying DCS A10-C

enough to justify the expenditure?

My system is compatible with NVIDIA 3D vision 2. Is anyone using those ? Thank you

So yes, go to 3dvision. It will give you a beter sense of the altitude and make you feel the cockpit shape. But it will eat your fps...

And regarding the VR vs 3dvision, have a look here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=166516&highlight=3dvision

and globally in the VR subforum. You will see that the current generation of VR equipment is not for simmer.

Yep, I use it occasionally. it makes the work of art that is DCS, look more incredible. You need the horsepower as you lose 30 percent of frame rate. The best thing is that you can still see the keyboard etc, if you have illumination, where in VR you can't.

It's best for the F1 view where the depth of the detail really pops.

It doesn't help in gameplay, in fact it hinders a bit as some aspects are rendered at the wrong depth like the A10 HUD and it can be tricky to hit the switches with the mouse. But I enjoy the additional immersion factor.

..And you need a 120hz monitor.

My mod (see link in my previous answer) fix some flaws (like HUD depth) of DCS in 3dvision mode.
